Ok...POTD...I figured out in an aha moment...what's bbm? Sorry, it's killing me!
I thought he did rebuff her which may have closed off any avenue of escape she may have fantasized about.

I think the Marine guy in California quit taking her calls.
Welcome! I'm a wannabe sleuth, myself. You are ahead of me in snipping!and I've been here awhile.Hello WS! I am brand new to posting, although I've been following the case since July and reading here for months. I think I have finally worked up the nerve to post. (Don't get me wrong. It's not you, it's me. You're all light years ahead of me in sleuthing. And it seems similar to that feeling when I wanted to jump in on the playground and take my turn in the jump rope, but I was afraid I'd trip! LOL) I've so enjoyed your posts, insights, and all the work you have done.
Anyway, in reference to LambChop's post I snipped for space.......I agree with you. The time for a panic attack was when KC couldn't locate "Zanny" and Caylee and the hours, days, and weeks ticked by. No panic then. Just party hearty, shop, bang, and bop. I can't imagine a jury seeing that jail video and not asking the obvious question---Where was all this panic, emotion, and hysteria during the 31 days you were "trying to find her" on your own? Friends who saw her during that period have stated KC was fine and the procession of them during the trial testifying to that will sink her as will so much of the other evidence. And testimony about her non reaction re: JB Park and the "find" there vs. the discovery on 12/11 will be obvious to a jury, just as it has been obvious to us.
OK. Hope I quoted and snipped correctly.![]()
Didn't LE go out to Cali to interview him? We haven't seen that yet-have we?:waitasec:
Thanks for the welcome MissJames, it's great to be here.Welcome! I'm a wannabe sleuth, myself. You are ahead of me in snipping!and I've been here awhile.
And I agree completely. She was not very panicked on the tape from Blockbusters with TL.
No...I mean could they then bring in her behavior...like partying? I'm thinking the initial evaluation may very well state she was detached.
Goodness peoples, I've been fixing broken quotes for awhile now, please take care in your posting...........this old gal is going blind![]()
And still even IF they are the exact same items from the A's home, there are more people with access to these items then just KC. GA, CA, LA, and anyone with a secret set of keys. Neighbors who may have had keys for trips or emergancies, any key left outside like a fake rock key holder. Ect
ALL of these were taken into account during the JBR investigation. You can believe JB will also be using it to create reasonable doubt.
You did just fine EB, just great, and welcome to Websleuths.I hope this doesn't add to it. I'm still learning the "ropes". (I really like my jump rope reference in my first post.)
Sorry if I screwed up the quoting. I clicked on the quote function for this post though. Fingers crossed.........
Sorry, but why do I get the sense that we're preaching to the choir?
ETA: just a random thought!!

Now that would be a great one to get in front of the jury ! If the defense turns out to be that Casey was "following orders" from the kidnappers or acting out of shock, those reports would come in handy to say that there were no signs of shock, fear when Casey talked about her missing daughter or she was emotionless when she recounted the events surrounding her daughter's "kidnapping". As we all know Casey doesn't DO emotion unless it's about her. I would love to see the initial psych eval.I wonder if they can use the interview with the Dept. of Children when KC was released on bail the first time where the interviewer stated KC was detached. There were also some other things in the report that were not too helpful to KC.
Give me tons of circumstantial evidence, like there is in this case, and I'll take it any day over one piece of direct evidence.
A lot of things are possible, it's what is reasonable that matters. Juries operate off of life experience and common sense, it will not be hard to decipher where the truth is in this case. TOO many pieces of circumstantial evidence here.

Just curious...will the State be able to use the first psych eval.? Could that then lead to her "state of mind" at the time of her daughter's disappearance?
