I have a dear friend that is a psycholgist..she has been wonderful about teaching others how not to stay in abusive relationships..but when it came to her life..she was always in an abusive relationship. Maybe it is difficult for some to learn that lesson.

Indeed some do find it impossible.I saw this Lillian McDonald interviewed. I quote her,"What you(the public) don't understand is we love our abuser".
Sean McDonald, of Carlisle: Jailed for three years and three months after pleading guilty to three attacks on his wife – offences of common assault, causing her actual bodily harm and unlawfully wounding her. The court heard he had 97 previous convictions.
