Rebecca's cell phone records

If those records are so crucial, they should ask a Judge to order them turned over.

In my opinion also. Hopefully if the case is reopened, this will be one of the first things to happen.

I don't know when AS left, or if he attended a memorial service. I've not seen anything about that.

I will say that when my friend's little girl died from leukemia, her father (my friend's father, the child's grandfather) was so overcome with grief, he could not attend the funeral service.

I have no clue why AS would "owe" RZ's family anything about RZ's last moments, since he only found her hanging, and she had died hours ago. The police say that they have "sat down" with the family and answered their questions extensively, but that the family isn't satisfied. If the family won't listen to the cops, I doubt they'll listen to AS.

RZ's death complicated a lot of things. It could have meant (opinion alert! opinion alert!) that the donor surgeries for three other little children were delayed because they had to delay taking MS off life support while JS dealt with the RZ drama. Can you imagine having to leave your dying son's bedside to deal with this? Can you imagine the trauma added to AS on top of knowing he was about to lose his nephew? He's going to have to live with the horror of finding RZ the rest of his life.

So I think that JS and AS have already paid their dues when it comes to RZ. What more can they do? They can't bring her back from the dead any more than they can bring little Max back.

I know that nothing can bring either one of them back...I also know that we cannot predict how people will react to a death...there are however, social norms of behavior....flying a lengthy way to be with family at a loved one's bedside for support and not spending time with the family to support them through the loss is just strange from where I come from...no one in my realm of experience would even think to do any different. Asking for answers, being the family of RZ from the man who found your family member dead...asking for answers from everyone around the death does not seem the least strange to me..nor would it seem strange to me that MS's family would ask RZ and her sister or another person who may have been at the scene for answers. How is asking for information such a problem?

Thank you. That is what I have wondered about myself. Everyone on the board should be interested in seeing proof positive about this, regardless of what it is. Someone has not told the truth about it, at any rate.

So now you question LE when they say only RZ and XZ were in the house?

I'm pretty certain that LE did not search the house that day, and it sounds as though another party has indicated that there were others there. It would have been reassuring if LE had anticipated the public interest in what happened and had given more specific information at their press conference.
For the record, I believe Max died in an inexplicable accident, and I think there is a fair chance that RZ committed suicide. But there are a lot of questions which remain unanswered, and I, like all others on this board, are interested in those answers.

What answers could the man who found RN hanging provide to her family beyond what he told to police? I don't find his behavior "strange" nor do I question the degree of support he provided to his brother during the child's fight for life that has been ruled an accident.
It's their private tragedy we have no right to question his family's actions and neither does RN's family have any right to question the investigation into Max's death.

I have been reading these threads for weeks and this is my first post- *i was hoping someone here could maybe weigh in with the legality of the following:
(I think I know the answers to these questions, but i'll ask them anyway:)
Did LE interview any doctors to see what transpired around 12:30am on 7/13 that allegedly made MS condition take a turn for the worse?
I know patient records are confidential, but if their main evidence is a voicemail no one has heard, it would make sense to at least corroborate the story with the hospital. If nothing truly worsened that night with his condition.....
Does anyone know the legality of RZ family getting access to medical records or doctors at that hospital to verify the story?
Being that so much weight has been put on that voicemail as her 'breaking point' I could see them possibly opening their files.

Most people don't wake up to find a dead body hanging outside their door when they awake to go to the hospital to say good-bye to a child who is about to die. Kind of changes what normal behavior is.

As to the above BBM, I think that RZ's family has every right to question everything, anything and anyone leading up to their family member's death. Just the same as MS's family has the same right to question everything and everyone around the death of their son...pehaps one family has all the answers they wish to have at this time...one does not.

Agreed. There is still the matter of supporting your brother through the loss of his child and his memorial service. The sudden horrible death of another does not negate the fact that your sibling needs you...at least it would not to some. It would seem that the horrible death of your siblings girlfriend would provide further impetus to remain and support him to me. I am sure Mr. Shacknai's PR firm would disagree.

Where is the link to who did and didn't attend the MS funeral?

I will go looking. Do you happen to have access to a link stating he was there...I would be happy to :truce: should you have one. Be back with links if I find them. I think there was some media report from the criminal attorney representing someone in the Shacknai family...I believe that JS's PR firm or his new attorney indicated to the media the he "never had cause to hire an attorney" before the cease and desist effort regarding Mz. Bremner. Therefore, I would have to assume it was AS or Dina's attorney IF the attorney felt Dina was still a Shacknai.

No. All I can find is information about a private memorial service that was held for MS, and I can't find who attended.

Link please as to AS leaving before MS memorial service. Thanks.

At the press conference, LE said that JS cooperated fully and did not have attorneys present when questioned. The attorney (opinion alert) may have been for AS when he took the lie detector test. I would have one too.

IMO

This is where I got theinfo that Adam Shacknai left CA.

Snipped

"In the case of the death of Rebecca Zahau, Adam Shacknai is considered a prime witness, but is not considered a suspect at this time. In fact, he has been allowed to leave California." Since it is in this part of the article discussing the day after the incident with rebecca...I inferred that is when he left. i could be wrong...still looking for the article with the highly connected criminal attny.

That doesn't mean he didn't attend MS's funeral or memorial service.

The family is Jewish. That means they have 24 hours to bury their dead. Since MS's time of death was pretty much predicted because he was an organ donor, it would be fairly easy (please realize I'm using the word "easy" only in terms of organization, not in terms of emotional ease) to plan the funeral's time fairly quickly. That means that DS's twin sister and AS could have attended the funeral and left the same day MS was taken off life support.

It also means that the family could have held a memorial service on a different day. That memorial service was private (as stated in the press) so we don't know who attended. I think the family was vague about both services (if there were, in fact, two services which is what I suspect, but not meant to be taken as fact) so as to keep their privacy during this difficult time.
