25 March 2026 marked 51 years since Sheila and Katherine Lyon disappeared from Wheaton Plaza Shopping Center in Wheaton, Maryland.

After telling many lies and conflicting stories to investigators convicted child molester and felon Lloyd Lee Welch, Jr pled guilty in a plea deal to abducting and murdering the girls. He was the only person charged and convicted.

Sheila and Katherine are still missing.
