Yeah. I hear what you're saying. And how did I ever raise two children without Baby Wipes? Soap and water was good enough then.
Right On NBC news the other night they were saying how plastic toys were now dangerous for babies to bite on because of the chemicals. Then at the White Sox game later they interviewed a 91 yr old man who had been going to the games since he was 7. I said to my son I wonder if he ever chewed on plastic toys?
At the rate they are going as soon as babies are born they should just take them and place them in Bubbles for life then woola no more problem.

Holmes' Ex Talks about TomKat

Chris Klein is finally speaking out about his ex-fiancée Katie Holmes and her new fiancé, Tom Cruise, and for pretty much the first time ever, we're mildly interested in something he has to say.

The corn-fed actor, who dated mom-to-be Holmes for five scandal-free years (they were engaged for more than a year), says their March breakup was caused by the embers of their love slowly burning out.

"We grew up," Klein tells Details magazine. "The fantasy was over, and reality set in. We weren't lighting each other's fire anymore."

And what about the guy who is currently sparking Katie's flame (or at least firing up the lights on her e-meter)? Chris has no strong feelings either way about Cruise's frenzied, furniture-abusing declarations of devotion.

"... [T]hat's Tom. He can do whatever the [bleep] he wants," he eloquently tells the mag. "Who gives a [bleep]? I mean, we've all felt the need to jump up and down on a couch. Or not!"

Klein, who pled guilty in April to a drunk-driving charge, stresses that his life post-Katie is just ducky, thanks for asking. "I'm not lonely," he says. "I'll tell you that. I'm certainly not crying myself to sleep at night, sucking my thumb. No, dude, I'm out and about." And he's working, with four movies in various stages of production, which is four more than his onetime squeeze. According to People magazine, Holmes has just opted out of the Dennis Quaid drama "Shame on You" due to her rapidly swelling belly.

Well i guess he is O.K......:D

I feel sorry for young moms these days. There is TOO MUCH advice out there and so much pressure to be "perfect". It was getting bad 16 years ago when I had my 2nd but I think it has gotten worse. Don't eat this and that while pregnant... don't drink a drop....MUST breastfeed...listen to Mozart...buy this, do that, don't do THAT...

But kids seem to come out pretty much the same as ever....

I so agree with you they probably have to ignore most of it or they would go nuts.

This is from Phthalates. It's what makes PVC plastic soft. Most toys out now state if it's NOT in there. They would do well to do this in dog toys too, since they're the softer materials at times.

I work to identify 'bad' materials in cars, and am familiar with the controversy of this substance, which has been going on for rather a long time.

Talc, like in baby powder, is also a 'reportable substance'. So you might as well throw out the baby powder too.

It's insane isn't it!
Both my children slept on their stomach. It's what Dr. Spock told us to do in the 60s. Here we are 50 years later finding out we did it wrong. Newborns should never sleep on their stomach. Back only! According to experts today. The results? There's a company in Texas selling helmets to correct toddlers today with flat heads.
Because of the sleep on the back rule, we now have a whole generation of kids with flat heads. But, they are alive, they only look funny.
If it's not one thing, it's another. You gotta laugh at all this stuff.

I have a sister-in-law who was getting ready for the birth of her third child back in the late 60s. She boiled all the baby toys she had received to santize them.
The toys melted into one big heap. It was scary.
I still shake my head in wonder as to how my two survived and grew into adults when I compare what we did years ago and what's recommended today.

Just to clarify...you had an episiotomy WITHOUT any kind of pain relief

I am terrified of giving birth, and if it were me, I probably would
have needed resucitating equipment!
LOL, me too!!

When did they start dating??

This chick is at least 6 month's pregnant, gauging by the most recent photo's. That, or she's carrying an elephant. So she had to have been pregnant by April.

Otherwise I'd say, Tom is not the father.

Have they given a due date?

Here is what Mimi Rodgers said about Tom Cruise:

"He thought he had to be celibate to maintain the purity of his instrument, but my instrument needed tuning, and we had to split."
