Juan said he was questioning her about previous drug use, potential welfare fraud, etc. At that point Willmott stopped the interview and took Patti back. When Patti returned she pleaded the fifth and that was the end of that. He also said she appeared inebriated when she showed up to testify (which she did, IMO). The defense would not have put her on. It could be that Juan was right or the defense. IMO logic points to Juan's explanation being more likely. Again, she was set to go until the interview.
She sounds as coherent as the rest of the defense witnesses, including their "experts".
