I don't know how Nurmi can say with a straight face that it isn't simple to just subpoena these 14 reluctant mitigation witnesses. Of course it is just that simple. The only difficulty would be the witness out of the country. So subpoena the other 13 and get them to the courthouse. The could face contempt of court charges if they refuse to appear. (I believe - not really sure about Arizona law.) And I suppose some of these 14 are possibly family members? And they won't willingly face cyber-bullying to save their family member from death? GMAB!

IIRC, when the witnesses were questioned about , I thought Juan clarified it by saying did you find any pics of nudity from the waist up? Am I wrong about that?

True, but definition of includes words as well as images, videos, etc.

The that was found -- IIRC -- was only the names of URLs; i.e., website names.

There were no pornographic images/videos found, let alone child .

None, nada, zero, zip, zilch, null set, etc.

Did I not issue a warning yesterday about the bickering back and forth about the judge. Everyone has their own opinion, so let's leave it at that. Do not badger another poster over what their beliefs are regarding the judge. This is the retrial thread, not the JSS thread. Let it go and move on. You can still express your feelings, just do not criticize what others are posting.

Yes, and the vast majority, if not all of them, were put there either by viruses or Spybot's Immunize feature. was never an issue before because it has nothing to do with her killing Travis, just a 'look over there!' deflection by the defense that apparently, and hopefully, JSS has seen through.

All of the judge's denials have guaranteed that Jodi will never be executed.

The defense files motions to make a record, aware that the inexperienced judge will deny them.

Her inexperience has guaranteed that Jodi's case will be overturned. And Juan's misconduct has sealed the deal.

Could it be that they are not residents of Arizona? That would make more difficult.

At least with JSS taking it under advisement will stop KN from an appeals prior to lunch time Monday.....so we may see half day of court if we are lucky.....

That was taken SO out of context. He was actually addressing the fact that if the witnesses refuse to testify, and they instead use video, affidavits or audio testimony- that it hurts the prosecution- in their ability to cross examine. A hit, he is apparently easily willing to take, to get this show on the road. We all know where it will lead, anyway, even if her 14... no wait 11 witnesses were willing to actually testify in person.
