They probably rejected it because it was dyed. They won't take dyed hair.

When I donated mine, that was the very first question the stylist asked me, before we even started.

Ok, since I got over the gunshot first analysis for the upteenth time, let's go over AZ's Mitigating Factors shall we?

I have an image in my head of Jodi and her Shameless Band of Legal Eagles lining up before court (and/or media interviews) for their mega-injections of Botox. Otherwise, honestly, how can they keep a straight face? Too bad the State doesn't cover Botox for Jodi's mother and aunt (and loyal friend Patty). Maybe this time around someone will tell them to tone down the giggling.

And, re Botox, would it be in especially poor taste for me to make some sort of vague observation about how it might not exactly be the worst thing ever for Jodi to start learning how to deal with injections -- if she isn't already?

I personally think her hair went in the trash, unless I see proof otherwise. Highly doubt it went to Pantene. The company went to the jail to pick it up or she mailed it? Not likely. Trash, trash, trash. That has got to be a rumor.

Agree, agree, agree. Will the Pantene people bother to sue (ha! get in line!), at the risk of forming an even stronger Arias/Pantene association in people's heads? Or will they just keep mum and let the rumor -- if that's what it is -- eventually die out?

And anyway... why Pantene "Beautiful Lengths" and not, as previously advertised, "Locks of Love"? Did the LL people hear about JA's plan/threat and respond with a cease and desist letter? (Or, as it is referred to in non-legal terminology, a big fat "OH HELL NO.")

Just read everything on sidebar and tried to post my thoughts but it said it was too short. No, i didn't put it inside post. It just does that to me sometimes. is it trying to say my thoughts don't matter? I know.
Just want to comment on cameras in courtroom. I disagree with Nurmi's argument that he wants to save Jodi from herself. He is the same old Nurmi. Losing weight and growing hair did not give him integrity. And any mitigation witnesses are likely experts or family and JM will shred them whether it's televised or not because he has truth on his side. Matt, Darryl and the other goofus are not likely in Jodi's corner anymore and they each have a history to worry about. Her family can't help her after those interviews with Det Flores. Maria could testify but what a joke she has become! We have a constitutional right to see the trial and I really disagree with Keifers assessment. I think JSS wanted to consider the matter so she could rule in favor of the constitution. If she doesn't, I will be so disappointed in her. There is nothing in this trial that has been unfair to Jodi. Jodi has put herself there. Speaking of Jodi, her hair is dirty and greasy looking. Her face looks pitted and old. JMO. So why did she decide not to show up for court tomorrow? I believe she developed a migraine when she heard her attorney say he wants to save Jodi from herself. He made her look like the nut case she is and I am certain she would like to kill him. Seriously.

I thought the same thing. Save her from herself. It is not the viewing public she has to worry about, it's the jury. She has made her bed. jmo

The only time I've gotten the 'too-short reply' after typing more than 5 characters is when I've accidentally put the cursor inside the quoted post instead of above or below it.

And Nurmi knows that you need more than a size advantage to defend yourself against Jodi when she gets one of her little homicidal urges.

She has made her bed. jmo
Made a bunch of beds, it sounds like. I guess she thought she was trading up, but never realized how little she personally had to offer. By the time she got to Travis, her high expectations were met with his disappointment. Ultimately she got the boot, he got the bullet.

And the stab wounds and the slit throat....poor guy.

Or... her hair and makeup weren't camera ready.

Well for sure! Make up wont help her anymore. She looks awful, which is representative of how she is inside.

Curious in Indiana, you make a very good point about the Arias parents' interview six years ago. It was so telling.

About that strange message you got in the text block, sometimes it has a mind of its own. You can often get round it by going advanced, even though you began as "post quick reply". Sure is annoying when you have finished four paragraphs!

I'm thinking Sheriff Joe made her cut it because it was getting too long and she could have used it to hang herself. That is just my opinion but I've been wonder for awhile why they didn't make her cut it.

Sometimes Joe interferes at exactly the wrong time. And that's all I am going to say about that.

LOL. I really think she asked to have it cut and maybe given away to someone. Too close to trial for JM to verify what she did with it or if she turned it over to someone on the outside. So she could say she donated it at the last minute. No one will argue with her at that point. jmo

Sort of a "Dorian Gray" situation in reverse? With the passage of time and Jodi's accumulation of sins, Real Jodi's appearance becomes more debauched and decrepit. Meanwhile, hidden away in some attic somewhere, there's a magical portrait of her growing ever more radiant and beautiful.

And anyway, what really matters to Jodi is that Heavenly Father knows she's beautiful (and innocent).

Yeah, but they didn't make Casey Anthony cut her hair pre-trial.

When I am going to type a long response i try to make it a habit to put it into notepad first and then just copy + paste over to a new post. That way if something goes wrong, i have the backup to cut+paste from again.

Even if you didnt make a backup and you get an error message like that, you can sometimes click the BACK ARROW on the browser and sometimes you can find your post as you were editing it. Once I find it, then I cut+paste it out of the message box and then start a new post and then just paste it into it.

Ive lost a few long posts before and whenever I get something strange, before I give up, i always try the back arrow first to see if I can find it to cut+paste it out of.

IMO, explains your confusion over the facts. That site left off a whole lot of Dr. Horn's testimony, which I'd encourage you to read/watch for yourself. Here's a small part of it:

** in these comments the "holes in the skull" are the entrance wound and the exit. The exit he's talking about is where the bullet went from traveling through the frontal lobe of the brain and then shattered through the horizontal bone (anterior fossa) that separates the upper part of the skull (where the brain is) from the lower part (where mouth/throat/nose are) before ending in the area of lower left cheek. That horizontal bone plate had a bullet hole in it, basically, and that couldn't be there if the bullet didn't enter the brain itself. Hitting and going through that bone probably changed the trajectory as well, so drawing a straight line from the entrance to the cheek is not necessarily the true angle of the shot.

Another (of many) thing that those people like to ignore is that there was no bleeding with the bullet wound, but there was on all the other wounds and quite a bit of it. Horn can't *prove* sequence - ME's don't do that, they observe, report and offer opinion - but he does say the most obvious reason for the lack of bleeding in all areas of the bullet's path was most likely because he had bled out or was deceased by the time he was shot. He also says of the 3 more serious wounds, the one to the chest is the only one that would have allowed movement, the throat and the gunshot would have incapacitated him within seconds. Please read or watch Dr. Horn's testimony rather than depend on a very obviously biased and manipulated version of the facts that person wants you to believe...

eta: just read the old dura mater intact comment ^. That obviously confused him when the question was asked, and when he checked his report he said it was obviously a typo. Had to be, and the above says why. The bullet could not have perforated the anterior fossa if it had not entered the brain, and it could not have entered the brain without perforating the dura mater.
For the record, I've seen the testimony a couple times.

I like and believe Dr. Horn and did not implicate he was lying, so please don't accuse and just ask.

All I am trying to be here is devils advocate, and can see how that testimony could have confused jurors, and myself in some ways because thinking logically I think gunshot was first. (Easiest way to incapacitate).

However, some of you mentionned Jodi wanted Travis to suffer, therefore, it makes sense the rage of the stabbing came first.
