Why did the ME do the autospy outside the crime scene? Don't they normally attend the crime scene? This is what could of caused the confusion, IMO.

Autopsies are always done outside the crime scene in a medical setting. The ME did attend the crime scene and take pictures.

Autopsies are performed in a morgue-not at the crime scene.

I think the property she was wanting released were the confiscated books from 2011 that she talked about in that hand written note to replace Nurmi. Supposedly they were to be a gift from her to someone, but these days we may see them come up for sale?

Lol, with her track record is she high?

Oh I think she was high off of pure rage and could easily do the deed. She was so enraged that she planned it through to the very end. Trip and all, including "borrowing" the gas cans and the phone calls to the answering machine afterwards as well as attending the funeral.

Oh good grief, I forgot about her call to his voicemail. That all by itself would have made me vote for a conviction on murder one. She doesn't realize how lucky she was that she didn't get the DP the first time around.

I hear they do pass around 'stuff' in jail, but I don't think that's her current problem. It's trying to come up with mitigation - hear she's now put glasses from the trial up for bid, with the high bid supposedly going to some local charity. First, I don't think they're the same glasses she wore, and second that charity is probably herself. But between that and selling her hair to Pantene last month, she's now got 2 things to offer the jury. Two (AFAIK), and it's bound to come out that both were done very recently...

I think it would be dangerous for her to say she donated her hair if she actually sold it to Pantene. She has also admitted that the money earned from the sale of her art is going to her family. It's one thing for the State to say her life has no value but quite another thing for Jodi by her actions to prove it. She has had 6 years to show the jury she has changed. It should be interesting.

LinTX, on the sidebar there is a link that says the bidding on her glasses starts today with the initial bid of $500 and that the proceeds will go to a Phoenix charity AND that these glasses are a piece of history. It sickens me that this cant be stopped. The charity is herself, saving for an appeal. There has to be some way that JM can show to this jury what Jodi has been doing. I hope Nurmi is not going to be a part of this again by helping her. She is a monster.

even though i don't support this page, i still read it:

http://jodi-arias.wikispaces.com/gunshot+first

the dura mater was not intact.

So the implication here does indeed seem to be that the ME lied.

The presence of blood in the ear, mouth and nose does not necessarily mean this was a result of the gunshot wound. He was stabbed in the chest in the artery which would have produced a rush of blood upward and out the nose and mouth. Also, while something decays, blood and other secretions are released from all orifices. There was no bleeding around the gunshot track. That's enough for me.

Lamb Chop, IMO she has changed, for the worse. Maybe it seems that way because I just didn't know how sick and twisted she is inside. Auctioning her plastic glasses with a starting bid of $500. She just THOUGHT she had haters before. Why can't the State of AZ stop this? She is profiting off Travis's dead body.

He did not lie. He had no reason to.

IMO, explains your confusion over the facts. That site left off a whole lot of Dr. Horn's testimony, which I'd encourage you to read/watch for yourself. Here's a small part of it:

Jennifer Willmott: Well, but you have no idea- you have no medical evidence of how far or what part of the brain it exactly would have hit, right?

Kevin Horn: It would have passed through the right frontal lobe. I just don't have any evidence of hemorrhage now because of decomposition. But it had to have passed through the brain because of the part of the skull that was injured. The brain in a young especially is flush against that- against that structure. The brain occupies the entire skull. So, to have a hole in the skull here and an exit in here, it has to pass through the brain.

Jennifer Willmott: Well the exit's he- there is no exit. What are you-

**Kevin Horn: Exit from the skull cavity into the face.

Jennifer Willmott: Uh-huh. So- but what you're saying though is you have no idea how- where that bullet might have hit. It could have just grazed the tip of the brain, right?

Kevin Horn: No. It had to have passed through the right frontal lobe of the brain, based on where these holes** in the skull are. There's no way it could have avoided the brain.

Jennifer Willmott: Okay, and you're sure of that?
Kevin Horn: Yes.

** in these comments the "holes in the skull" are the entrance wound and the exit. The exit he's talking about is where the bullet went from traveling through the frontal lobe of the brain and then shattered through the horizontal bone (anterior fossa) that separates the upper part of the skull (where the brain is) from the lower part (where mouth/throat/nose are) before ending in the area of lower left cheek. That horizontal bone plate had a bullet hole in it, basically, and that couldn't be there if the bullet didn't enter the brain itself. Hitting and going through that bone probably changed the trajectory as well, so drawing a straight line from the entrance to the cheek is not necessarily the true angle of the shot.

Martinez: Let’s look at exhibit number 653. Can you tap that thing so we can get the arrow out of the way? thank you .......What is this right here?
Horn: That is the entry point of the projectile into the right anterior fossa, which is the front part of the skull.
Martinez: And what is the part of the brain that lays in this particular area?
Horn: The right frontal lobe.
Martinez: Take a look at exhibit number 654. We have two arrows that are pointing. Why was it significant enough to have those two arrows pointed?
Horn: It shows the entry point and the exit of the projectile from the skull, as it’s entering both portions of the skull.
Martinez: Back to exhibit number 653, this is what down here?
Horn: That is the centre of the base of the skull, umm, it’s actually overlying the nasal cavity.
Martinez: And the reason that we have arrows pointed here, was why?
Horn: Well normally, there is intact bone there.. there’s a plate there and it has been torn away by the bullet that has begun to tumble and deform. So that’s why we have a larger exit point and a smaller entry point.

Another (of many) thing that those people like to ignore is that there was no bleeding with the bullet wound, but there was on all the other wounds and quite a bit of it. Horn can't *prove* sequence - ME's don't do that, they observe, report and offer opinion - but he does say the most obvious reason for the lack of bleeding in all areas of the bullet's path was most likely because he had bled out or was deceased by the time he was shot. He also says of the 3 more serious wounds, the one to the chest is the only one that would have allowed movement, the throat and the gunshot would have incapacitated him within seconds. Please read or watch Dr. Horn's testimony rather than depend on a very obviously biased and manipulated version of the facts that person wants you to believe...

eta: just read the old dura mater intact comment ^. That obviously confused him when the question was asked, and when he checked his report he said it was obviously a typo. Had to be, and the above says why. The bullet could not have perforated the anterior fossa if it had not entered the brain, and it could not have entered the brain without perforating the dura mater.

I meant that it's the implication the poster was making. I also made an ETA to my post re: the blood in the ears, nose and mouth.

I guess I had sales on the brain when I said she sold her hair to Pantene, sorry about that! She said she donated it.

Thank you. I think of everyone on these threads all the time, where you all live, if you are feeling ok when we don't hear, wondering who the males and females are, all that stuff.
