How in the world did I miss those tweets? You mean she diagnosed Travis as a sociopath and she has never even set eyes on him? What professional would do something like that? I am floored. Based on these emails? And how does a professional diagnose someone they have never examined?

IIRC KN had her well-trained in this area. I don't believe she ever claimed to have diagnosed him as a sociopath; rather she just read the words and between her and KN it sounded like she was agreeing with his self-diagnosis by not refuting it.

This makes zero sense to me. Wouldn't the state have generated a mirror image long before they turned the computer over to the defense? I could see it if the defense is supposed to generate a mirror image before they do anything, and he wants to compare before and after. But that's not how this was worded if I read it correctly.

I have the same concerns. I thought the whole purpose of a 'mirror image' is to protect the integrity of the hard drive, to use it as a comparison in cases like this. And now hearing they might not have taken one---:no:

Travis did refer to himself as a sociopath. Basing my assessment she diagnosed him on this tweet, though:

I just don't see how any of that matters. If I was on that jury, I would be thinking. . .so. CMJA was not married to TA, they didn't have children together. She was free to not talk to him, not see him and not have sex at any time! Even if he was an abusive jerk just using her for sex what does that have to do with her killing him or CMJA claiming self-defense?! ullhair:

When arrested, she had a gun and knives in a rental car and was no doubt on her way to kill the woman he loved. End of story. Well not quite the end. We are waiting for her sentence. Oh and by the way, Jodi took pictures of the whole thing that are time stamped. Gross? Yes. Evidence of her crime and her admission has been documented.

Yeah well that was sort of covered in my last sentence. There is so much evidence, plus her confession and her glee that he is dead, I just didn't mention the palm print, HER palm print with Travis's blood on the wall where the crime was committed.

I do hope Juan hits this point home as well. I am sure we all know friends who have been victimized by abusers. My friend from high school was literally trapped for a decade with a violent husband. We knew nothing about it until years later after she had escaped and lived on the run with her 2 kids. It was not until he was incarcerated for another crime that she was safe enough to return to her hometown. He moved them across country, isolated her, beat her and threatened her constantly, saying he'd kill her parents if she tried to leave him. THAT Is an abusive relationship. Not someone who dates 2 girls at the same time and hurts their feelings. FGS

The state made a mirror image before deletions happened. He now needs to make a mirror image of the hard drive as it is now, after the deletions, to do an analysis, but they damaged it. So he needs their copy. IMO.

I have to admit there were times I wondered whether she brought an accomplice, but it doesn't seem that she did.

She certainly did lots of clean up and possibly staging while in "the fog", so she could have tried to make it look like there were two ninjas who did it.

That's exactly how I understood the new motion too.

The State of Arizona, by the undersigned Deputy County Attorney, requests that the court order defendant to provide the State a copy of the mirror image(s) created by the defense expert during his examination(s) of the Compaq Presario computer, item number 390633. The defense expert damaged the computer during his last examination preventing the State from making a mirror image of the hard drive. A copy of the mirror image is necessary for the State to examine defendant's claims made in the recently filed motion to dismiss charges of dismissal of the State's intent to seek the death penalty.

Me too. Whether it was or wasn't an actual dx, a true professional wouldn't have used the word sociopath to describe Travis, imo. If she didn't actually say those words, she inferred them. Now I wonder what the jury thought she meant, hmmmmm?

Yeah, I think the point is that these are people (Travis, the Hugheses) who have SUCH high standards that things that are perfectly normal flaws to most of us are abusive and sociopathic to them!

This is a very important aspect of this case. In the LDS church it is called "The LAW of Chastity" and casual sex between two consenting adults violates this "law", as does , prostitution, and child . JA threatened JM that she would smear Travis' name and reputation if he pursued the DP. This is the most vile way JA knows how to hurt Travis (etal) after she murdered him.

The Hughes were spiritual mentors to Travis (as well as financial and professional), and for those who felt they were "meddlesome" (sic?) I think they would argue they were only attempting to help Travis reach his potential for eternity.

For non-LDS jurors (especially younger ones) it probably wouldn't be viewed in the same light as Jodi would like it to.

I think in JA's mind, even if she gets the death penalty she will make sure that "sex" and reputations and the very things Travis held most dear to him (family, friends, and his faith) are exposed in the most "debasing" ways she can, especially those who hold close to their faith. To Jodi, I think this would be the sweetest "success".

IIRC, Mimi Hall testified that she was not interested in dating TA any longer. They had two or maybe three dates. She was concerned about going to Cancun with him and it was decided they would stay with a family she knew and then she decided to go. IMO, does not sound like a fun trip. I believe it was PPl sponsored, a reward for top salesmen or something.
