If my memory serves me correctly, Juan asked for sanctions against the "defendant" in his latest motion. I wondered what more they could possibly due to defendant? (Well I could think of a few things but it may not be legal. :) I will go back and read it.
Yes, he did request court to "sanction defendant". He did not say defense attorney. AZlawyer, is this just the way a legal document is written?

Can we afford to disregard the intrusion of Arias' sheathed black hand in this? What a push she made when granted in pro per status again, to gain immediate access to the police evidence room, so that her p.i. could examine every item, many of which she named. She suffered some legal defeats when representing herself and it seemed to outsiders that show closed before it opened. However, she did have access for some weeks before she relinquished her standing. Did she have some preconceived notions that she directed her p.i. to keep in mind and to look for? I think she did. Nor do I think she forfeited those ideas when she resorted to Nurmi & Willmott again. She turned her back on them October 20, wanting rescue from their representation. That failed, as we remember well. I think she aimed at wedging something into her penalty phase and created a time squeeze for her team that was most unwelcome. She may have insisted on some very unwise, misbegotten moves that led to the current disorder.
Agreed but even with her demanding ways, Nuria has final say with what he does in court, does he not?

He wrote it that way because he is not requesting any sanctions against defense counsel. His request is (1) that the court order JA (read: JA's team) to produce the mirror drive by noon on Nov. 17, or (2) that the court strike JA's Motion to Dismiss the Charges. This would be a sanction on JA, not on her attorneys.

Juan requested that deadline, but I don't think we've seen anything from the judge granting his request.
Of course not because the request did not come from the defense. As you can tell, I am still unhappy with JSS. :)

While we wait for more important info, I add this creepy thought of how Jodi's alleged new boyfriend has some physical resemblance to Travis--especially in the forehead, cheekbone, and chin areas. He talks about their visits --- "it's a lot joking, it's a lot of laughter, it's a lot of good times because that is what she needs right now." I wonder if they are still "together." (The link is dated Feb. 2014). Have any of the court tweeters seen him in the recent proceedings?

If the 'Tony' who owned that computer is the same Tony who is the PI from Texas, it will open up a whole new can of worms over who is behind this fiasco. There would be only one person responsible...Jodi Arias

Emergency recess until Thursday, eh ? I guess someone must have gotten Nurmi and Wilmott a couple of front row seats at a Phoenix Suns game or something.

In all fairness, they should have come up with a ticket for Judge Stephens too.................then again, maybe they did.

Juan will have to watch from his couch....................

Well,I am sorry. Apparently, I don't know how to copy and paste. Anyway they are tweets from Jodi on last page of sidebar. Very comical since she is so full of herself. Guess it is her Aunt tweeting.

Cany anyone be this stupid? Yeah I would HOPE killing someone would be stressful. Sheesh!

ETA: ok. I read the article and didnt realize until now that you added that line to be humorous. sorry! Very funny. I thought the guy really did say that! I can just imagine her supporters saying this. Lol.

I believe JA's PI was on Nancy Grace a few weeks ago and if I am correct, his first Initial is D last name Bond. Also I believe he said he was on the case to help with appeal, nothing more. I sure did not believe him regarding that. Can't remember what else he said.

If I am wrong someone please correct me, maybe CNN has the transcript.

It certainly does! Going back to the previous motion of Nurmi's, the very fact that the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 sites were accessed on June 10th should have raised a red flag, to both their expert and themselves, that they might be looking at a virus. Nope! Let's just run with it and attack JM and Flores.

Then, in the latest motion, we had a downright vicious attack on Flores, insinuating that he had deleted other evidence (text, emails, you name it). Totally without foundation.

They do look dishonest, inept, and vindictive. They are responsible for what they put in their motions; they are responsible for protecting evidence in their possession; and they are responsible for any errors that their experts make. I am continually disgusted by them, their mitigation expert, and their client.
End of vent. LOL

They are responsible. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but yes, I think Nurmi does own the responsibility for backing up his scurrilous allegations of misconduct. And for handing over the correct evidence to support them.

I had a terrible thought about the "emergency recess", it is just odd and I cannot find a "leak of information" that may explain it. So my terrible thought is this, Travis's family has had enough, forget going for the death sentence, stop the trial and on Thursday just go for sentencing. They want done with it and so does Juan. Just thinking out loud.

You're correct. And he has just the kind of record / history to attract the likes of CMJA. And if Nurmi had been doing his job of standby counsel and beyond he would have been monitoring this guy like flies on honey.

GRACE: If anything, what alienates me is seeing crime scene photos of an innocent person with their throat slashed.

Joining me right now is Dorian Bond, a special guest joining us tonight. This is Jodi Arias`s private investigator, president of Bond

Investigations, Inc. Dorian, thank you for being with us.

DORIAN BOND, PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR: Thank you.

GRACE: Dorian, we just saw a shot of Jodi Arias in court. And her sex life, the wild afternoon of sex just before she slashes his throat, is

coming into evidence. It`s already started. Does that match? Does that sync or jibe with Arias`s demeanor as you have come to know her behind

bars?

BOND: No, it doesn`t. A lot of things that happen in court -- when I see her privately in the jails, she`s focused on what her defense strategy is

going to be, and also looking forward to her appeal. As you know, she`s very unhappy with her first chair attorney, Kirk. And I question some of

the things that he does on defending her. But like I said, she`s concentrating on moving forward and going to the appeal process.

GRACE: Well, I don`t understand what it is about Kirk Nurmi, or Jennifer Wilmont (ph), for that matter. What is it about them she doesn`t like?

They managed to get a jury to hang on the death penalty sentence the last time around.

BOND: You`re right. She has to have a good relationship with the first chair attorney. He runs the defense team, so he is in charge of the

defense team. She had a better relationship with Jennifer Wilmont, and that`s why she wanted Jennifer to be the first chair. And she felt like

she wasn`t getting the attention and also getting support from Kirk to investigate the issues that she wanted investigated.

Ok, I should not have such thoughts, they did say it had nothing to do with the trial. Whew!!! I retract my thought.

This is not the same person. I saw this Tony L name a few times Googling Arias and his name came up several times. It's a
very unusual last name and up popped this PI who handles 'Complex and major investigations'.
It just seemed like too much of a coincidence. s

I watched that interview. It never made sense thst he was working on appeal issues before she was sentenced.

Now I guess that 🤬🤬🤬🤬 not on computer is what's meant. He sure didn't turn up any witnesses for mitigation either.

I doubt they are still together......I'm sure he was ostracized from the community as soon as that report aired.

Anybody that proclaims publicly that "Jodi is the nicest person you would ever meet", either needs to be in a mental ward, or they need to hire on as Nurmi's computer tech and expert witness.

Yea, sorry about that. But that's the gist of it, isn't it? It's hard enough to try to understand Arias, but to try to fathom why people would willingly support her...I almost don't even want to try.
