My HLN source just said "they no longer have interest in this trial". I'm hoping that's really bugging Jodi Arias and a few others for which I couldn't be more pleased.

Read that as "Our analysis indicates that our costs to continue covering it would prove unprofitable."

Or

"The lack of live video coverage wasn't pulling in enough eyeballs."

I know this trial is a travesty of justice but I do believe the judge in charge has alot to do with the pace of the trial. It does seem that the defendant has more rights than the victim. But I still have faith in our system. Even if only one out of 50 defendants that were unjustly charged are found innocent by a team of diligent, dedicated attorneys then I am satisfied knowing the system works. It's what sets us apart from a world with countries that still stone women to death for adultery, or are judge and jury and kill the wrong person. Let's not allow a creep like CMJA to taint our view of our system. I do however question if the Founding Fathers really meant for the evolution of their principles to the extent that it has these days - ie the defendant having more leeway to defend themselves using character assassination of the victim rather than taking accountability for their own despicable acts - ie CMJA decimating Travis's character and the victim unable to dispute her defense. That should not be allowed. Especially since she has been found guilty by a jury of her peers already. Again, I blame the judge in this trial. She has yet to find a balance in allowing this "expert" to interpret to draw subjective conclusions about people she has never even spoke to. Again, like Samuels & ALV, her testimony is based on discussions with a proven liar.

I agree. I too think she is still obsessed with him. The way she gushes and glows when talking about him, the thrill she gets from discussing their dirty deeds, the way she perks up whenever his name is mentioned (or when Juan asked Deanna who has Napolean now). To live inside the mind of a woman who can remain psychopathically obsessed with someone she murdered six years ago. No wonder she told Flores, in a rare moment of truth, "I had to move on." The idea of marrying Travis consumed her thoughts and actions. Everything she did revolved around snaring him. And him being alive and not marrying her was absolute torment.

So wish we could see this phase to be able to watch her and the subtle nuances she gives off. Hopefully jury is picking it up.

I think I even spotted her doing this sort of thing in some of the photos that have been released from this phase. There was one photo on the day she wore the same color top as Travis family member, and I could almost swear she was glancing back toward the gallery as if to look for Travis family member, and JA wanted to get enjoyment of her pain after realizing JA purposely wore the same color top.

JA is that evil and even to this day, she is totally obsessed with Travis and obsessed with getting back at him. She has gone so far that now she is trying to do damage to his family too.

I agree, a couple of inmates last year in the jail thought Jodi was "an amazing person" guess she can fool some of the people some if the time. We'll see when she gets to maximum security prison if anyone will think she is amazing. I don't think she will get the death penalty, would be real nice if I'm wrong.

At the same time in Jodi's mind she might think she can manipulate and control the people around her in prison. Hopefully she will meet a bigger and badder sociopath than herself. Jmo

I am sure she will and its too bad we cant be there to watch her get put in her place.
They have seen her kind before. The kind of people that think they are hot stuff and can come waltzing in to become the queen of the floor. They are waiting for her and they cant wait to teach JA the rules of the place. It will be epic.

Its like someone mentioned yesterday. The pecking order is already established and there is no way they are going to allow someone like JA to come waltzing in and think she can just rise to the top of that pecking order. I am pretty certain she will immediately be put in her place. JA will be shell shocked when she realizes her perception of herself is not the same as others perception of her. She will have to earn her movements up the rungs of the ladder and I am pretty certain she will have a little trouble earning her movements upwards. They probably dont take kindly to people coming in and wanting to cut right to the top of the line of the ladder.

Yes, so true. There were a few glaring examples of this 1st trial. I am sure many of others have spotted this too. It is very creepy and it goes along the line of not having a conciounce to be able to feel real emotions for herself.

It is one of the reasons we see her looking around so much. She has to watch and obvserve so that she knows what way is appropriate to act. When she misses her clues, then the real JA comes out and she does something or says something totally inappropriate. Wow. This is why she scares me so much. Travis finally realized how she was towards the end when he called her phsychopath, etc. Unfortunately it was too late and he let his guard down, and not realizing what she truly was capable of.

I am pretty sure we have heard that depending on a prisoner's status and privileges that some prisons do get to watch TV however we have heard that they limit what shows the prisoners get to watch. Some are news channels and even on the news they usually block out or shade out pictures when offensive.

So nobody probably knows for sure whether they got to see any of those types of pics however if they happened to get to watch a news show that happened to show a blocked out photo they may have seen the types of photos that were in the news with blocked out areas. Or I am sure the news talked about these types of things during the trial so maybe they just got descriptions from news broadcasters.

She 'loved' him only in the sense of what he could do for her, her station in society, and her image. She exploited his weaknesses, compromised his morals, and then used all of that to try to establish common ground with him and convince him that he would be better off in the end with her than without. He couldn't stomach that, and in the end he became a danger to her 'reputation', and he had to go. What she's doing to him now in death is no different than what she did to him in life, she's using him to her greatest benefit, only now the safety of her lies is protected by the silence of his death.

Thank you! I am so glad to see you post this. Finally! It is unbelievable that anyone thinks JA is running the show and telling her defense team what to do. I know she wants to! But all this sleaze, slime, trickery, vulgarity is all on Nurmi. He is the lowest of the low, right there with Baez. He says he and Wilmott will be scrutinized for years to come. No. They will be forgotten, like the gum on your shoe that you toss away. I cannot stand what this man is doing to Travis and for those of you who didn't watch the guilt trial, he did it then too and enjoyed himself. This is all on him. He can turn down the dial any day he wants to.

Hope I have to go back and read it again. I thought JSS set up the evidentiary hearing before getting the sanctions request from Juan. If so, is it possible she just left the date as is to hear them both at the same time? She still has time to change the hearing date or change her mind, doesn't she?

Some of my favorite posts too are from Nore and Hatfield and many others but they are expressing the desire to shut this trial down and sentence this killer to LWOP. I disagree completely about shutting down the trial and LWOP.

There is just a tad bit of revenge inside of me (yes I know that's not a good thing) and I want to see it through so Juan can slice and dice these people. No one should be allowed to humiliate and threaten and hurt the victims family the way they have done and get away with it.

She doesn't deserve LWOP. She deserves to be locked away in a very tiny concrete cell, no tv, no radio, no art papers, no AC, no heat, nothing but her own mind to remember what she has done. Let that be her death penalty. Death comes eventually to all. But she sure doesn't deserve to be placed in general population. That's a picnic compared to what Travis went through. JMO. MOO
