Did you guys read Maria's latest tweet? (I don't use Twitter or Facebook)

I don't like to pay attention to people like her but this tweet is hilariously disturbingly stupid.

@cougarloucious -- Great day today, ended well.

From what I can recall, it started with a trial watcher seeing Arias on the stand through the courtroom door/window. I also seem to remember one of the Arias fans boasting that Arias would be on the stand. Troy later tweeted that he had confirmed from 3 reliable sources that it was Arias testifying.

Someone with a better memory will correct me if I'm wrong.

So it seems that the fact of JA being the witness came from Troy and the content of her testimony came from unreliable/suspicious sources... if it came from Arias fans, that's no big deal, they could be making it up. The fact of JA being the witness is not a problem, since she was seen when doors opened. I'm thinking now that if the 'content' came from her fans, it's not a courtroom leak. If it was a courtroom leak, I'll leave it to AZ to say if that could be a problem or not. But it's the sort of thing Nurmi pounces on and makes his incessant motions about.

To me, Cmja Being the secret witness simply gives reason why JM was so whatever about the situation. Since it was cmja herself, jm knew he'd annihilate her testimony whether given in secret or in open court it didn't matter to him. What mattered to him was keeping the trial on track since she was such an easy opponent for him

Once again, my heart goes out to Travis' surviving family for having to go through all of this on top of losing their brother to such a violent death. I can't begin to imagine how torturous this must be for them.

The COA document leaves little room for doubt that it was in fact Arias on the witness stand. Nurmi had full knowledge of this, yet waited until the last minute to approach the judge that this witness, his client, be allowed to testify in secrecy. How she ever backed up her ruling is beyond me.

Nurmi continues to push this who secrecy and limited media thing on virtually a daily basis. JSS has not admonished him to back off on the issue, so I suspect we will see this kind of thing continue unless the judge sends a message that it is to stop.

Was it Nurmi or Arias who wanted this testimony to be done in secret? Any guesses as to why?

Nurmi said there were three mitigation witnesses. Apparently Jodi was one (the secret). Fonseca second. Who is the third? And another question. Since the COA just cut out a lot of Nurmi's crap, can we get on with Dr. deMarte and the closing arguments and let the jury go home on December 18th? JSS, are you listening?

I loved Dr. DeMarte. She was the best witness in the whole trial.

Juan said it in the hearing after the COA ruling. He also said, "the witness that was testifying CAN be called." Many of us took this as him dropping the hint that the secret witness was Jodi and there's nothing in her schedule stopping her from continuing to testify.

BBM

Cool! There's no way she can get out of testifying again. :happydance:

What is really really curious to me is why the attention loving narcissistic sociopath Jodi Arias would not want more attention on her at this stage. Anyone have a guess?

My guess, it makes her appear more important. Maybe as someone suggested before, she's trying to hide something from her family. I think she might also testify to something that might P.O. the guy who will say anything for her that didn't testify in the last trial. (I forgot his name.) If she's doing the second thing he might come forward and testify that she laid out the entire plan to him beforehand and he helped her by taking her to the rental place etc... He could probably get immunity or it's possible that the statute of limitations has run out on the things he did. JMO

Two thoughts.......

1. I think Jodi wanted no cameras, no media, no public because she was denied coverage from inside jail by the sheriff. I think she was retaliating.

2. In reference to content of testimony by secret witness "Arias" - I don't think the "stopped short at the time frame of meeting TA" should be taken literal.
I think that was to be a joke - with the amount of time that the witness was on the stand, and if it was Jodi - all that was talked about was probably how they met (lol, hahaha sort of thing)

Just my opinion.

Nurmi will be filing plenty of motions if he thinks there was even a remote possibility that a leak occurred during the silent stage.

Well, story #1: Wasn't there, #2: Ninjas, #3: Self defense, so it would just lead me to think that story #4 is on tap..........blame it on Neapolian?

What do you think about Michael Kiefer knowing and reporting on who the jury foreperson was the day before they hung on the sentencing phase last time?

Part of the reason, I think is Juan Martinez. She wants to deny him more time under the spotlight, doing what he does best - exposing every one of her murderous lies. He made her look utterly ridiculous. People abe great affection for him, from all over the world. There are other reasons, of course.

PS: KatieCoolady - THAT IS JUAN MARTINEZ IN A PHOTO WITH YOU! What is he like in person? Was that from court? Also, did you ever see him in court? How different is the intensity from on TV? Has anyone else here witnessed Juan in court, in person?

Nope, I didn't. I think she and those other simple fools just tweet that stuff to get a rise out of people. Poor things.

Wasnt it at the beginning of this retrial that Nurmi suggested she shot Travis first while he was still in the shower? There's a fourth for ya.

Speaking of Keifer, he's been conspicuously quiet today. Must be too busy consoling Nurmi. :shame:

I think Tuesday he tweeted he'd be out of town and someone else would be tweeting for him.

That's a good point as well.
PS: You are totally fangirling lol.

Did that happen? I wasn't aware of it at the time. Did he release the man's name?

I believe Martinez said there was 2 experts, MAYBE some affidavits and someone from California........I swear it was from one of the limited videos we actually was able to see, by Croaker Queen. Will see if I can find it......

...and I think this is it:

When I look at Nurmi's reply to the judge at the COA, I now realize that he was only referring to one witness! He was trying to reference others from the previous phase of the trial. Obfuscation is part of his schtick, and it can get confusing...but it did not fool Bodney or the judges.

Yes it is, I posted about it last night on this thread somewhere ;) I forgot I'd had that pic but went looking for a cat in a pilgrim dress pic and stumbled across it. I was on a plane with him a year or so ago coming from San Diego where he was awarded the Prosecutor of the Year and we chatted before and more after the flight. He has always been very nice and kind to me as a crime victim. He knows our case, prosecutor, terrible appeals judge. I texted him (he gave me his number the time this pic was taken saying we should go to lunch sometime) last night and he texted me back...I just congratulated him on a great day in court --I had not used that number in over a year--he thanked me back and was just all around nice. Hes much softer in person as you can see by his sweet smile. I've actualy talked to him quite a few times at the courthouse having atttended most of the trial last time around.

I am still very curious how they find out this stuff and I would not want Nurmi to win a mistrial motion because of the STUPID media who sometimes does not think before they print. JMHO

I don't believe it's an appealable issue, since her entire testimony was ruled unconstitutional and is to be unsealed. If they had won at COA, and could prove a leak I'd still have a hard time believing the superior courts would even entertain hearing an appeal. I think people are confusing filing an appeal, and having an appeal heard. They are two separate animals.

That's what Jodi calls her as well. In their secret illegal three way calls. :jail:
