I'm not going to tell the entire thing or give more details but it is my belief and opinion that the jury was not always split that way, that it was a larger split amd that one member of the jury refused to deliberate from the getgo creating a known hung jury the entire time for the rest of them.
I also believe that a unanimous decision WAS made which was to collectively take a pause before talking to the media until a specified date and the foreperson had the media in his home the very next morning. Athe very same foreperson who one member of the media knew was in that role while deliberations were still going on. That same reporter who I also know without a shadow of a doubt expected a certain outcome in this trial to NOT be first degree murder seemed to know in advance that the jury was hanging on the sentence. The day before the hang came in and the day he reported (oops too early) the id of the foreperson, the usually rumpled crumpled unkempt dresser showed up at the courthouse in a crisp shirt and tie strutting the halls where we were all waiting like a peacock in a parade.
so many fishy things between that reporter and the foreperson. I checked out a theory I have with two of the jurors after the fact and let me say Its not one everyone in the know finds far fetched.

ps I know who the other 3 are who hung but it's up to the jurors to speak about it...I have a well formed theory though based on private conversations w jurors who aren't speaking out yet which I got from them. That 8-4split is not what it seems imo.

KCL, I don't understand where your thinking is headed when you say there was a larger split than 8 to 4. Do you mean it was more like 6 to 6 or more in the direction of 11 to 1?

Whenever I hear, and this isn't the first trial where I have heard this, that one particular juror just refuses to deliberate, the rest of the jury should let the judge know their name. That juror should be given jail time for every day the trial lasted for not doing his duty. That's just insane.

Am I the only one that does not know who James Aiken is?? Someone that she claims saw bruising?

Aiken works in some capacity (I forget which) with the prison system and if he were to testify it would be, IMO, to the extent of what JA's prison experience might be. IOW, he would tell how awful prison is, hoping to get the jury to see that she would suffer with a Life sentence, so there is really no need for DP to truly punish. Or something like that.

I think that if that was the reason, the testimony would have maybe been sealed for a long time. The secret testimony that was heard in court, was going to be released right after the JA verdict in December/January. The person would have had to deal with the consequences in January or whenever there's a verdict anyways.

I'm kind of puzzled at all these scenario's that are being presented all out of a sudden. Jodi being a hermaphrodite, Jodi having a secret child, Jodi on meth. What's going on?

I am also puzzled and wonder what is going on. I would not be surprised to read that JA is part of the Illuminati. Maybe she is a Reptilian. How about a Succubus? God, so many scenarios. I just would like to discuss the trial LOL!

I have a question that has been nagging at me.

Didn't Dr. MF mention something about Travis having a noose and only 3 people knew about that? I think it was when JM was questioning her about Travis' suicidality and alleging that she had diagnosed Travis.

I do not remember anything about Travis having a noose from the first trial . . . anyone else?

I don't either. I have to look that up. Of course, the three people who come to mind are the dead victim, the lying murderer and the impeached DV expert witness, so I'm not ready to believe there ever was such a thing. He was not suicidal.

IMO there is definitely something going on with HER.

It is a gut feeling. I have had it from early on. It also makes me wonder if that wasn't what some of the secret meetings and her need to testify secretly this time was all about. Another Pity Party Ploy from an evil murderer.

I'm in the "camp" with Val1. I've known several transgender and he/she individuals. I commented about this in the first trial. Maybe CMJA is just big boned, but she sure has big hands and a hard jaw line. Maybe she's just chock full 'o testosterone. I had a great friend, years back, who went the whole gender reassignment who would have been a dead ringer for CMJA's "sister", but far more pretty and exotic.
The phrases "tired", and "just a boy in a dress" come to mind.................RuPaul would have a field day....

Love the RuPaul comment. My thank you button is missing!

It's made with soy curd instead of turkey. IOW, tofu. They flavor it to taste like turkey but it's still--tofu. Bean curd.

Thanks, but no thanks.
Think of this as you recall that the convict shares a 'living space' with her own toilet. :jail: Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I believe with all my heart some people cannot be treated. I do believe evil is born.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!! I'd like to know about JA's first 6 yrs of life; what kind of infant, toddler, young child she was.

Got my turkey in the oven. Reading all the posts. Your minds are amazing. First it never occurred to me that JA would be transgendered. What a good little story to tell to the jury. Why not? She has tried everything else.

I am very simple minded. I personally think she took a pill or some meth on her way to see Travis that gave her super strength. You have to remember she was into pot at the age of 14, and into the occult with Bobby Juarez by 17. You KNOW she knows about drugs. Those are facts. Of course, once Travis was stabbed or shot, Jodi didn't need much strength to finish the job. Since she wasn't tested, we will never know. Anyway, deceit is her middle name.

Second, about her giving birth to a child when she was very young, possibly her own sister? Here goes. I am a mother and to me, that would have softenend her heart, not made her into a psycho. I guess I have seen so many people through my lifetime who have faced and overcame so much adversity, that I have NxO PITY for this murderer. I do not care what she said on the witness stand, whether she was raped, beaten, gave birth, did drugs! Whether she is male or female, so what?!........what it all comes down to is that she made a sweet young man pay with his life because he wasn't going to marry her and give her the life she wanted. A life she did not deserve, never worked for. She had a sense of entitlement. I feel certain that had he married her, she would have one day killed him....or their children. She has a black heart.

No. You cannot make me cry for her, feel sad for her. She did this. She chose her path. She lied. She covered it up. And I believe she was on her way to do it again.

Perhaps some PCP thrown in for good measure. That supposedly gives super human strength.

I remember her testimony well from the first trial. She is going to be a breath of fresh air.

She comes across as a very intelligent and confident and strong person. She really knows her materials and I can't wait until she gets her chance on the stand.

The jury will be glad to see her as well. Juan needs people like her to vouche for the correct analysis of Jodis obsessive relationship with Travis.

Nurmi will no doubt try to twist things around, however she can handle anything he tries to throw at her. She will speak the truth and show the truth to the jury.

IMO, I think after Juan's cross the other day the jury's eyes have been opened to the whole DT shenanigans and now the jury will be able to recognize the real truth when they hear it from Janene. We will most likely see a lot of affirmation head nodding from the jury when she gets on the stand.

Maybe we will get lucky and get some good questions too from the jury that can help us to see that the jury understands the real truth.

I totally agree. Dr. DeM stood up very well to her cross; she was poised, articulate, and didn't rattle under pressure. She also was the consummate professional witness in all her answers, unlike the DT counterparts.

Arias sealed her testimony because she could. It's a way of playing games with her outside enemies - you, me, the media. She loves playing the press most of all. This was part payback by hitting them where it hurts - commercially, financially. No raking in advertising fees from live trial coverage. Psychopaths adore the game as many here have highlighted. She is aware of how massive the support for Travis' family and friends is. She loves that we are all frustrated and disappointed that we can't view the trial live. As a bonus, she imagines the jury will see her as a scarred, vulnerable defendant, too afraid to speak outside a closed court. And if it all goes wrong, she'll use the reversal of her sealed court privilege to the max on appeal.

Had there had been anything bigger that she could have used as a mitigation factor - we'd have heard about it for weeks, I suspect. Look how a few childhood smacks from a wooden spoon were twisted into 'A Child Like It' proportions. I can't wait for her testimony to be unsealed.

@jeffgoldesq: "@courtchatter: COA is not finished. Still 'under advisement' only has ruled about #JodiArias testifying. Watch for further ruling to come.

I can't copy & paste tweets but here is Dave Erickson's recent tweets:

"It is ordered "the court grants relief by vacating the superior court's order of 10/30/14 and closing the courtroom to the public and press...
".....during any testimony by Jodi Arias".

"OK gang, there's my gift to you on this Thanksgiving eve. Have a great Turkey Day"

Wow, I'm truly amazed at JSS closing down the court for the killer's testimony. I can't wait to see what was so injurious or prejudicial to justify that ruling.

There may not be much in what she has testified to so far. Remember how Nurmi D-R-A-W-S out testimony from her? It took him days to get to her high school years last time, I think.

What is turkey soy casserole?

Ever watch Everybody Love Raymond? It's not soy but bean tofu, but you'll get the idea.

Katie, have you spoken to your sources post conviction? I'm curious if any of the jurors that were hung have changed their mind based on evidence that they weren't able to see during trial such as stalking, interviews ect

Do you guys remember Katie, the friend that Travis gave credit to for helping him with his book?
Here is her beautiful tribute to her friend Travis, who was loved by so many ~

TMI about shaving the body on her blog. I grew up in the '70s and for the most part we were pretty hairy. I stand all amazed that so many men shave their pubic hair nowadays!

"You see, you made me realize that in order to truly work on being a better person, I needed to consistently monitor my progress and have goals. I admire your self-discipline and strict daily schedule of productivity. Pray, read scriptures, exercise, learn spanish, read ensign article, write in journal, work on book, listen to self-motivation tape, work, paint the baseboards, read scriptures, shave my entire body, be a good friend. Yes, you are amazing. And I'm sorry, but I can't bring myself to shave every inch of my body. It's just not natural!! :)"

Hahaha... I love how the Tofu Turkey wobbles. Everybody Loves Raymond is my favourite American comedy of all time. I've seen every episode. Can't get enough. "It morphs back", priceless.

One does not have to fear being rattled by counsel during cross examination when one has testified truthfully. That the DT witnesses, including the defendant, must resort to defensive and even combative behavior during cross speaks volumes.

Iirc, when her dad gave an interview with Det Flores, he is the one who mentioned Jodi having surgery on her backside. I never saw any interview with Jodi where she said her dad told her that and she didn't remember. I have had required surgeries, never cosmetic, and you do NOT forget being cut on. It hurts! She is so full of lies and bs. Even when you cut Your finger it hurts!!

What she did to Travis was horrible. She is an animal making him suffer like that.

Perhaps some PCP thrown in for good measure. That supposedly gives super human strength.

I was not being clear about the backside surgery her father mentioned. If it was corrective surgery then it would have been done as an infant and so she would not remember IMO.
