Have I told you lately how much I love you for keeping track.

:seeya: TY ! I luv lists ... lol ... and you really need one to keep track of this kangaroo court's schedule !

I posted the "newer version" -- the Court Days first and then the NO Court Days ...

But I can also post the list by chronological dates, if that helps !

Just let me know and please let me know if there is anything that needs a correction !

TIA !

If we all feel like this, imagine how the Alexander family must feel. I can't even imagine.

I'm at the point where I'm ready for a mistrial, just so the judge can sentence her and off she goes to prison. I'm sick of the control she has, I'm sick of the way she's the queen of social media, I'm sick of her slandering a poor man she brutally murdered 3 times over. IM JUST SO BLOODY SICK OF HER.

Oh, same here!

I have to wonder if a major reason the state is trudging on with seeking DP has at this point less to do with the Alexanders' wishes and more to do with a belief that it would send a message as big as a billboard to criminals: Stall, hurl accusations and lies, cheat, fabricate evidence, and do whatever it takes to delay at every turn--it's all good and if you do it long enough the judge and eventually the state will be your bi+@h.

She actually isn't queen of social media or anything like that. The level of attention she's getting from the general public is minimal. It's mostly a few people (on both sites) who care. As far as I know, she's never even had a trending topic on Twitter. Her "power" on social media would fade easily if people blocked and ignored her and her crazies. Engaging her/them just fuels the (psycho) fire.

Whoever is tweeting for Jodi posted

"TA tried to murder Jodi on 6/4/2008. He failed. Now his family seeks 2 carry out his murderous agenda--on your dollar."

They really really are insane for this kind of thinking. Also they wrote that if JA gets the DP it will be one HUGE waste of money 2.7 mil they say....

BBM: OMG ... what next ?

These cray  cray's  never give up !

:gaah:

How does it go? 'Birds of a feather flock together'. Parrots mimic, but I didn't know vultures 'tweeted'.

IIRC someone on WS posted a while back that the $2 million+ that it costs to prosecute this Killer comes down to no more than a few dollars per person, statewide. I tried to find the post but I don't remember who wrote it or where it was posted--here or Sidebar.

I think any argument that it is emptying the state coffers is lame, like most claims you will see on a killer's support site. I am just going to just consider the source and not give it a second thought.

In the BBM, if this is what the letter flap is all about, they are no where near what I would have imagined.

Others may disagree with me, but I don't see child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 in them.

He admits to hitting her in the face once, which I wouldn't put up with, but isn't enough to kill someone over.

They just don't seem HUGELY damaging to me. At least not to the point I was thinking. JMO

There were apparently 10 letters... I only saw reference to a couple of alleged incidents, not including the text messages that were already entered as evidence(3 hole wonder etc).

I'm just wondering if the DT was far sighted enough to have made enough of a fuss to only get these few texts in, even though they were less than flattering to JA, just so they could use them, hoping that JM would use them himself in his case, to give all the electronic data(letters included) legitimacy in their continued effort to get the alleged pedo stuff in, since that is pretty much their only hope to argue for acquittal.

That might have been their hope in the penalty phase. Now, though, there is no chance for acquittal.

I just read the three page letter that Arias wrote to her fans. I don't normally like to give her any attention but this letter is ridiculous enough to border on comical. It's basically a rant against JW (Occupy HLN) and LS. She accuses them of having hidden agendas and implores her fans to support her on some new website. I did chuckle because these fools are fighting amongst themselves. And the thought of her sitting in a concrete jail furiously writing tirades against her own supporters is amusing. She will eventually turn against each and every one of her 'friends' and 'fans'. She won't do well in general population!

Where is this letter, if you don't mind me asking? More importantly.....Am I going to need as many virus and malware protectors as the DT claims Travis had on his computer?

TIA

I don't go on the JA support websites. :scared:

I'm not sure whether I can post the link here but it's on the 'Understanding The Travesties of Unexpected Murder Trials' Facebook page. It's safe. :)

"Assumes facts not in evidence" maybe? That would be an objection that would still work at the penalty phase.

There is no reason that the defense would be limited to things that were raised at the guilt phase. Lots of things would be irrelevant to guilt but relevant to mitigation.

IIRC he used beyond the scope and foundation. Do those apply here?

I think in RE: the approximately $2.7 million dollars spent for the defense is less to to do with the costs to prosecute CMJA but more to do with that CMJA doesn't deserve a $3 million dollar defense. In my eyes, that's how I see the argument. Not that travis didn't deserve his justice

I'm a visual person, so for those whose brains work like mine, this shows the actual days of testimony when the jury was present:

Since Jodi admitted to the LE officer to having Travis passwords she could have easily logged in and made it look like it was Travis sending emails or even text messages.

Travis may have even seen some of these letters that he knew he did not write and that could have been one of the reasons he was so mad at her.

Unless the DT shows Travis hand written signature under a handwritten letter that is proven by a handwriting expert to be his writing then I am not going to believe that Travis actually wrote any of the letters or text messages. Jodi had his passwords to his stuff.

Beyond the scope applies if Nurmi was on redirect. (In AZ, you are not required to stay within the scope of direct on cross.) But if it was a relevant issue, IMO better for the judge to allow it than to have Nurmi miss something important to be later raised in an ineffective assistance of counsel petition.

Foundation would apply, although often you can "fix" foundation problems by asking a preliminary question or asking the question in a slightly different way.

There's one thing I've been wondering.. Is there a deadline in which JSS needs to follow the COA's order? If they tell her to do something, can she just ignore it for as long as needed till Nurmi decides he's done stalling? For example if all Nurmi witnesses are done testifying without a resolution from the AZ Supreme Court will she be bound to wait and postpone rebuttal or does she need to go like this; "The COA said this, I won't wait for the Ax Supreme Court, let's get on with it".

Just wanted to point out something, notice the FULL weeks while JM was doing his case? 7 straight days.
Then Nurmi took over October 30th and you see November and December. His 7 days (same as Juan) have been spread over SIX WEEKS.

Thank you for the image, I love seeing this kind of stuff

In Arizona, if an attorney is found on appeal to have rendered ineffective assistance of counsel, are there any repercussions to that attorney with the state bar/licensing entity - censure, probation, disbarment, etc?

It's just like what happened in the Anthony trial. She lied and blamed everyone and then the defense decided it was all her response to sexual abuse. Abuse that was stated as fact with no proof ever offered.

The big difference is JA's victim was an adult and as such is much more vulnerable to Blame the Victim Syndrome. They couldn't do that with Casey's victim so they went after the closest adult male in her life--her dad. I suspect that when all is said and done we will see that Arias and Company have also targeted her father.

I would really like to see jury instructions be very specific regarding how the jurors should view testimony about events/situations/circumstances that go unproven because I think jurors have so much info to take in that they might not give enough weight to some of the instructions they receive. If it means a better justice system, maybe poll the jury on the instructions (whether they understand each and every one). IDK, but something needs to be done to separate truth from fiction in an arena where our Constitution allows both.

We have the evidence to prove that she loves to punish and indeed destroy anyone that says no to her, so it fits that she would go after her allegedly cancer-stricken father while she can, after all, wasn't he the one that "punished" her for sneaking out and then lying about it when she was what, 13-15?, this after getting caught growing weed on/in the family home. I wonder what she has in store for her mother who she claims used to beat her from the age of seven and oh my, started to carry a wooden spoon in her purse...
