Flores says that it is within evidence protocol to "wake" a computer and says he did so with Travis Alexander's at the crime scene.

Flores- knew computer was in sleep mode when he looked at it. It's not against policy to wake up computer then call forensics #jodiarias

If TA's laptop sat there woken up for an hour before forensics came to disconnect and take it, it had plenty of time to download all kinds of updates.

Computer question. If a computer is asleep, you can't do a legal shut-down. You can't just pull the plug, either. Therefore, wouldn't you have to wake the computer up first?

  • #476
Well, if it wasn't against protocol to wake a sleeping lap top then it probably will be now

What a bunch of nothing.

Good point. They would have had to wake it up anyway which is probably why it wasn't against protocol.
