Two questions :

Do we know why Juror 3 was dismissed (why is she writer lady- the notetaking, I'm guessing)?

When will the transcript of Jodi Arias's Super Seekrriit Testimony be released? I thought it was to be released very soon. Then again, I thought this was going to move faster.

To be fair, we don't yet know if she was dismissed. She could have been excused for health reasons. There's just a lot of conjecture because of her age and, apparently, weird and numerous juror questions.

I believe jss would strike the previous testimony of cmja if she refuses to testify.

There were some really strange juror questions previously - I just don't remember what they were.

Wow. Ive been following along and this trial sure gets my blood pressure going. Here are my main concerns.

-I think the judge is throwing jury members out way too easily and I think they could have been rehabilitated instead. Based on JSS poor rulings already I think she is too quick to throw out a juror just because the DT thinks they should. We need to know if this juror really had to be forced off the trial. And for that matter, the last couple that were thrown off. Was it absolutely a "throw off case" sin OR perhaps they could have stayed and been admonished instead.

-Only 1 day this week? WTH? Is the judge purposely trying to make this last long? This is getting ridiculous. Instead of getting more smooth and moving along, its getting worse.

-If Juan supoenoed the witnesses, YIPPEEE. I want to see their faces when they get the summons hand delivered by Fed-ex and have to sign for it.
When they realize they will be under oath and will be asked questions about what they claim.
They should be worried. They should be very very worried.

FedEx? Really???

I think the NG comment said JSS was ordered to release the transcript, but I don't think the word "immediately" was included. JSS might not release it until end of trial, but I am hoping for a quick release just to get Bodney off her back (like AZL said).

Hmmm...if a court ordered me to release a transcript, I would think they meant NOW. But then again, we are talking about JSS.

I don't feel this jury will vote for the DP when they see expert witnesses speak in demeaning ways to the prosecutor. They must feel the judge is on the side of the defense. And if there is a mistrial, I don't feel confident JA will get LWOP from this judge. I think everyone needs to be prepared. The Florida trial shocked us all. And even though Jodi isn't going free for now, this judge certainly isn't on the side of justice. Which begs the question....why is she a judge?

SUPER dork question --- when you get subpoewhatevers, what happens? Do you HAVE to go? If you do go, do you HAVE to answer and if you refuse you to to the slammer, right?

Ive never be supeonaod (cant spell it) but I know it is serious and I am pretty sure it is delivered by personal courier to make sure you sign receipt that you received it.

I am pretty sure there is a threat that you can be held in contempt of court and possibly go to jail if you dont show up.

Heck, even when I got just a simple jury duty notice, there was all kinds of threats about possible jail if I didnt show up.

If you are out of state, I am sure the supeona directs you to call the courthouse to make arrangements.

FedEx? Really???

Yeah, I am pretty sure it would be sent by some courier and require a signature that you received the summons. Maybe not Fed-ex specifically, but DHL or some other overnight courier service. Some service that can get signature of receipt from recipient.

Did the CoA order the transcript released for real? Or is this just the word from NG, which may or may not mean anything.

Um. Not 100% sure about JM subpeoning those witnesses. Can only find one source for the rumor, with no others jumping on it.

Anyone else have a reliable source?,

Here, a summons comes by first class mail while a subpoena is hand-delivered by a sheriff deputy. But that could be 'cause in this area of the world anything sent via FedEx takes the scenic route to your door.

Defense expert witnesses are called 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 for a reason. They are almost always unworthy opponents in the sense that they don't get paid to tell the truth.

The challenge is to destroy their credibility, and THAT combat can be quite satisfying. You're right that Dr. F. did most of that work herself, but only because JM knew where to take her and how to play her.

If the tweets from the court today were anywhere near accurate, Dr. F's demeanor on the stand had to have really struck the jury. It is one thing for a prosecutor to be aggressive, it is an entirely different thing for a witness, an expert no less, to be recalcitrant, sarcastic, evasive, non-responsive, etc. By all accounts from the courthouse, there was a marked difference in her conduct and demeanor when questioned by the defense vs. the prosecution. This was not lost on the jury. The big question is how much of her message stuck, especially with some of the repetition. The big one that stood out for me, as far as damage for the State, was "master manipulator".

It was very difficult following the tweets today trying to maintain my composure. I so wanted JSS to get things under control. I was astounded that she let this witness turn to the jury and then told them not to get distracted by Martinez style. Eek!

Ugly, ugly day in court. As long as the State's experts are professional on the stand, I think he will be able to undo any damage that may have been done.

Aside...from the last thread...Jodi Arias, as a defendant, cannot be subpoenaed to testify. There was talk on the other thread that Martinez had subpoenaed her, and this would not, could not be true. If she has already taken the stand, the judge can compel her to resume the stand. Otherwise, a defendant has the option to take the stand, but cannot be compelled to do so.

They are served by Process Servers up here.

yea, I think the main thing for something like that is they want formal signature of receipt of delivery. So that you can't ever say you never received it.

No court 12/3? Why?

Is hearing 12/4 to resume trial?

Just catching up, I can't believe another 6 day break. I guarantee you that is why TA family looked pissed off after the meeting.

On last thread, someone stated that Nancy Grace had commented that an order was issued to JSS to release immediately the transcript of testimony Jodi Arias gave in secret. Do any of you know when this will be published or released to the media? Just wondering. Thanks.

That was me who posted. Nancy Grace tweeted it, but then all the juror/no court tomorrow drama came up and I think everyone just kind of forgot about it

I also think the court can force a subpoenaed witness to testify or be held in contempt and it is also possible some/the witness/es will lawyer up and/or plead the 5th on self incrimination if they do not wish to testify. Hopefully AZL can clear this up for us.

Thats interesting. I have heard of them and never knew what they were. LOL

I would hate to have that job because I am sure they run into very upset people when they try to deliver them the papers. Especially in divorce situations where they may be expecting something and heard it was coming from their own lawyer.

Trying to get caught up on the day today like I am? I posted some of the Tweets from reporters in the courtroom today, finally. I couldn't collect as many Tweets as I might have done on a full day of court because
a) I had to work and
b) this witness was getting repetitive on her first day of cross examination.

A whole day! LOL this poor jury! Juror #3… looking forward to finding out what happened there.

If these witnesses are as flaky as they sound, I can see them pleading the 5th, and probably with good reason. I wish we could confirm that subpoenas were issued.
