Sorry about your day. It was frustrating here to say the least. What are your thoughts on the happenings today in court ?

I'm trying to remember some of the legal questions I saw as I was speeding through the threads.
E.g., why might a juror be excused/dismissed? There are a hundred possible reasons, but coming right after juror questions there's a good possibility that she asked something that suggested she knew something she wasn't supposed to know. Maybe something about the BN hearing, for example.
I've caught up with most of the reading here but still cannot figure out why trial is not taking place tomorrow. What happened?
I just posted on the sidebar that I read Nurmi was trying to get BN for tomorrow, but he is busy. Guess he has no one at this point.

Wow. If this trial were a TV show, I'd be yelling at the TV because it's such an unrealistic portrayal of the legal system.
Oh! And the "what's wrong with the judge" question.
There's no good answer for that one. It's fine to wait for an attorney objection before stepping in to help out...but when the witness is just showing blatant disrespect for the process, IMO the judge has to do something.

I don't know how much you parsed, but if you thought you'd seen everything you were definitely wrong. Dr F kept whining to JSS while ignoring question after question, then switched over to instructing the jury to disregard Juan's questions and just trust her because after all she is an expert. Then she mixed in a few instances of admonishing Juan for badgering her. It was unfreakingbelievable.
Great, I guess they didn't believe me. :sigh: Should I turn myself in or head for the Canadian border? :escape:

But she didn't. And her lack of involvement must make sense in her own mind. So, what is your guess about her rationale?
She also told the jury Martinez has a memory problem.

Come on up, I've got lots of great booze!
Oh yeah I forgot one. Juan showed her a portion of a transcript of her earlier testimony and she refused to accept it as valid, saying it was a mischaracterization. Or something. It was ludicrous.
