You know, I suspect Fonseca is just as much a sexist as ALV, and that would explain the direction of her bias, but if she is a radical feminist then playing the victim only goes so far before it becomes hypocritical. For her to use that term, in this case has got to be highly offensive to anyone not as blindly one-sided as her, and that includes the jury, most likely. It's a pretty disgusting reference to make in this trial.

I completely agree. Statements like these ("he snuffed her out, her identity"), not to mention a great deal of feminist thinking in general, are predicated on the belief that women as a whole are victims - that our sense of self-worth, self-esteem, etc. is not only inherently more vulnerable, but ultimately wrapped up in and dependent on how we are treated by men. (Ugh.)

This is just as likely to offend male jurors, who in all likelihood respect and admire their wives, girlfriends, sisters and mothers for being the strong, independent people that they are.

Very interesting especially since every relationship the victim Travis Alexander had was scrutinized to establish a pattern. The pattern of relationships the murderer had would be MORE important, IMO. Or at least as worthy of scrutiny.

Jodi's violent early departure from her job to find Bianca was certainly aggressive. And driving that distance without having a specific address was bizarre too. If JA hadn't run across an acquaintance who pointed out where Bianca lived, what would JA have done? Banged on doors until she found someone answering to that name?

And the way Dr F is testifying, JA could have threatened Bianca with a gun and Dr F would have said it wasn't violent because she didn't pull the trigger, just very assertive. All due to the ex-boyfriend of course.
