BBM - Do you think they have gone all in on hoping they can convince that one older woman on the jury to feel sorry for Dr F or for JA and don't care whether the other 11 would be ready to carry out a firing squad themselves? That's the only thing I can fathom, because in general I don't see how the average person wouldn't be ready to vote DP now even if they never really imagined doing that coming in.

If so, they're sorely mistaken. Older women are far more likely to have been through some seriously difficult times in their relationships and otherwise, just by virtue of having been around for longer. And they're more likely to have seen daughters, sisters, friends, etc. do so too, most likely including some real-life actual abuse, etc. Not to mention brothers, male friends and husbands being put through the ringer by vindictive, selfish, obsessive women. In short, far harder to pull the wool over their eyes.

Only time will tell, but I gotta say I really think the defense team totally played their hand wrong. Had they emphasized Jodi's personality disorder(s), instead of again attempting to excuse or justify her actions through disparaging Travis, they may have had an easier time of swaying a juror.

Not that I'll complain.
