MeeBee, I would be jumping off your post from yesterday, if I could find it. So I am paraphrasing about JA's mitigation witness's.

JM said there where two experts, and the person that has already testified (JA) and one more from California. Then there are the affidavits

1. Dr. F
2. Cheryl Karp or computer expert/songwriter/drummer/Emmy winner
3. CMJA
4. Darryl Brewer?
* Of course now we have an LONGTIME ex boyfriend,
* And a ex waitress from Denny's that hasn't seen JA since she was 17.
* Marc McGee, a LIAR who loves the media attention as much as JA, also a LIAR who are all afraid for their lives to testify in public. Give me a break. Darryl and Gayla already have. Plus a BONUS with her good friend Gayla who sold a postcard from JA for $75.00.

OK, what I really want to know is:
How do affidavits for mitigating factors even work? I know that they are voluntary written statements of facts, but how can JM cross them :giggle: I smell "falsified" affidavits.

I wonder how the CoA ruling will be handled in court. Will JSS let jurors know that the secret witness will no longer be testifying on her own behalf in secret, but will be brought back for cross? Will there be nothing said and JA just takes the stand with JM doing cross with courtroom observers present? That might feel really strange and hokey (hinky) for the jurors.

You optimist. I'm afraid we're stuck with Dr. F for this whole week of 2 trial days. By the time CMJA takes the stand again the jurors will likely have to be reminded who she is, and that its her sentence they are being asked to determine, not whether or not the DP she imposed upon Travis was justified.
