for those of you concerned about the last expert's testimony, remember the State has an expert too and the difference between the two is glaring. Snark, rudeness and all around nasty may have seemd like a winner to the defense but we will see none of that with the State's expert. We will, however, see facts, details and no speculation.

I think this really puts the judge in the glaring spotlight, with good reason. About how lacking in authority she is. Absolutely remarkable. And she seems to have absolutely no consideration for the jurors or due process. None.

BK says the computer guy- Nurmeister- was asked to come in tomorrow instead of Thursday but he said he was unavailable. Nurmi really must be out of witnesses.

God forbid the convicted murderer wasn't told to suck it up and take the stand tomorrow.

Hopefully he has FINALLY returned the new and improved "evidence" to the State.

After the hung jury, Wendy Murphy wrote a letter to Juan Martinez. She talked about defense attorneys sometimes purposely setting up appeal issues later on by "throwing" the mitigation case and not calling certain witnesses or not calling anyone. She said a remedy for that was for him to call the witnesses themselves. I still remember this article. I wonder if Juan finally went that route? What an awesome plan of action.

I think JM has been a step ahead of Nurmi's tired and morally bankrupt strategy all along. He gave Nurmi a warning shot about subpoenas in his motion. Nurmi didn't , so he will. Called Nurmi's bluff.

It is if they are declared to be hostile witness for the prosecution. They were supposed to be defense witnesses. LOL

So he actually wants them to testify? What is going on? And will Nurmi be cross-examining?

Completely agree. I think he knows what they've been doing all along, this whole time, and he's finally taking action.

When Nurmi found this 'professional' witness, he had to know he was scraping the bottom of the barrel. I have to wonder, though, if DrF has any inkling or self awareness that she's less useful than that stuff at the bottom of the oak barrels after aging fine wine that even the hardest core alcoholics won't consume.

I think her grandiose ego forbids her from realizing it. She and LaViolette have the same 'get them before they get me' mentality it would seem when it comes to the State.

Both were condescending and defiant to the opposition, ingratiating to the defense, and both attempted to paint the prosecutor as a bully, a manipulator, apparently simply because he had the audacity to question their opinion. It comes across as unhinged, sexist, biased, myopic and downright foolish.

I also remember a Motion to Quash Subpoena earlier this year filed by the defense. Wonder if Juan tried this before but it was quashed?

Sorry folks, but I do not blame the witness for her childish display on the stand. I blame the judge. Dr. F did what she knew she could get away with. Judge Stephens is in charge of her courtroom and should intervene when a witness acts up.

I feel like a fool now for having given the judge the benefit of the doubt for so long. I figured there was a method to her madness. I don't figure that anymore. Now I think it's just madness without method.

Because the "good" Dr. MF is more concerned with creating drama with Juan than she is in answering truthfully to facts in this case, all the while we have been discussing the "dynamics of the relationship" between Dr. MF & Juan.
