This trial was the perfect storm, IMO.

Death Penalty on the table;
A manipulative and vindictive sociopath avoiding sentencing;
A particularly devious defence team;
The weirdest defence expert witnesses in the country;
A 'strange' judge;
and a prosecutor battling on many fronts, with the hand of the law tied behind his back.

No wonder it's a mess.

Sounds like good lines for a book intro...by the prosecutor.

Apparently the DT did request the 2008 image, because Wilmot just complained they hadn't received it yet, and JSS just forcefully ordered JM to turn it over immediately.

Did she also forcefully order the defense to turn over theirs??

It will be worth researching the credentials. Are they from accredited organizations? Do they have a police record? Are they highly rated in the field? Did the organizations exist for more than a year? How many of them are actually different branches of the same organization? How many of the organizations were started by Geffner? How many actually have recognizable and qualified board members/officers/managers..... What kinds of journals as he published in? Are these journals subject to peer-review? Are they in the top 20 journals in his field of expertise?

I believe you will find that Geffner's credentials are half-baked. It is very, very easy to generate credentials that sound impressive. Also, Geffner, IIRC, was censured by a judge for being unprofessionally and overly partial to a defendant (translation: guilty of BS).

JM has the 2008 and 2009 images. He also has 4 HD copies, one of which belongs to Tony. What he does not have is the actual HD image or clone or copy that BN used to make his 3 copies.

JM doesn't have it, never had it, and doesn't appear likely to get it anytime soon.

But I thought he didn't have full copy of the 2009 image at all. He's received copies/images but they aren't real copies of the HD, so he didn't have an actual 100% copy image of the HD right? The one true copy of the (now broken) HD that exist is in the hands of the DT. (I know I'm not putting it into words right, sorry.)

Regarding Geffner's water pouring abilities, there used to be a funny video of Juan "showing Geffner how to pour water while proving his case," in which, after Geffner spills twice, he picks up a cup and the pitcher, pours water while walking to the projector area, puts the pitcher down, takes a sip as he walks back to his table and then sets the cup down, all the while questioning Geffner. Can't seem to find it anymore but it was funny because it really did seem like he was showing him up on the water pouring lol.

Like, personally? There's been a well-established link between child abuse and DV for a few decades now and plenty of research done by a great many. Up to 60% of domestic abusers also abuse children. Some children whom are abused or witness the abuse of a parent grow up to become victims as abuse is normalized. Some others grow up to be abusers themselves. The vast majority don't.

In 2009 the DT expert Dworkin made an image of a copy of an HD that was provided to him by LE. So Juan would have whatever they have of anything made in 2009. What's unknown is if they made a new image for the DT in 2009 or if they provided them the 2008 image.

But Juan is still asking for what they have. And they won't give it over. Hopefully Juan's willingness to be forthcoming and provide what he's asked for quickly while the defense plays games will speak volumes.

Exactly what I was thinking. Only thing is, if the DT moves to strike her testimony wouldn't that keep Juan from presenting evidence to dispute her claims? Ultimately, if the DT withdraws JA's secret testimony the jury has heard (and will likely not be able to just disregard her testimony no matter what the judge instructs them to do on this issue) these allegations without hearing the other statements she made about NOT being abused.

The legal system, with the Judge's permission, has been so bastardized in this case that it simply boogles the mind.
