Anytime his relationships ended and then started back up I doubt he was like, "so I'm gonna keep doing all the things you broke up with me for this time too." It's called the honey moon phase. You make up and the abuser whispers sweet nothing in your ear and promises to change. That's manipulative. Especially when it's repeated behavior.

All the defense has shown was a 30 year old man that was desperate to get married because he was feeling pressure from his church, and friends and family. If he was really the T-Dogg facepalm the defense has portrayed, marriage would have been the last thing on his mind and it would have never even come up in any of his relationships. When he realized that Jodi was NOT marriage material, she was already stuck to the bottom of his shoes like dog poop. :moo:

For comparing it unfavorably to the especially cruel lying torture murderer, I'm afraid someone owes dog poop an apology.

Totally agree no ones perfect. But the man he was in public and the man he was behind closed doors are 2 totally different people. its no accident that so many people thought so highly of him. He knew what he was doing was wrong and he knew how to keep it secret. Imo that leaves room to speculate maybe he was capable of manipulation. Not at all a fail.

I honestly believe that must have happened early on with phone records, emails, texts, instant messages; i.e., electronic communications writ large.

I think JM drew some crucial evidence from that well himself in gaining her conviction.

I wonder if he knew then what he does now whether he would have pulled out all the stops to keep them out.

Woa, woa, woa. The ABUSER? Your abuser or Travis as an abuser, because there is not one shred of evidence that Travis was an abuser. A liar and a cheater does not an abuser make. There is a big difference. Jodi did not live with Travis, they didn't have children, he wasn't married to her and he didn't have financial control over her. If a guy that you are dating is repeatedly lying to you and cheating on you- you can LEAVE the relationship. Jodi Ann Arias had a choice, and free will. She was a beautiful girl and could have MOVED on to another of her many, many, many suitors we have read about and heard about. She had 4 offers for a date, in one night. She moved AWAY- was supposedly no longer even attracted to Travis- she admits that she was NEVER jealous. She drove 1,000 miles back to him- to slaughter him. Who is the abuser?
