Boytwn- shouldnt Juan be able to have Abe talk about how sexual Jodi was with him, all while she was complaining about Travis flirting with other women and vilifying him for being sexual with other women? Isn't that exactly what Juan should be able to say???

That sounds like he will obly be able to talk about how he knows Jodi to establish his relationship to her for the jury and about the letter. That doesn't sound like much but I guess we'll find out.

It isn't. Even when they weren't in a relationship they are moaning about Travis flirting and being sexual with other women. Even as it doesn't relate to Jodi they are painting him as a manipulator only out for sex. So what does that make Jodi? I disagree that it's counter productive.

No he should do it! It can be his whole "If you don't think she brought the gun (premeditated murder) then well you can say she stole the gun (felony murder)." It's that on a much much smaller scale. "Either she was lying about there being a relationship or she wasn't above flirting even when "dating" TA."

I agree totally. But JA got JSS to set aside the constitution of the US for her. It's because of that that I don't think that this would've been a simple argument. Nothing surprises me anymore. It's a disgrace.

Exactly. I think JM is tired of fighting with JSS on this stuff. He knows how poorly she's conducting this trial and it's wearing on him. Don't sweat the small stuff and all that. He can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

So, when Miss Arias explained that she was dabbling in Mormonism, how did that make you feel?

And when Miss Arias told you that there was magic in her underwear, how did that make you feel?

this was the worst possible thing she (JA) could have chosen. She has to try to cover all of the lies that are about to be undone and look like a poor innocent waif without pissing off the jury. JM is wise to allow her last sit on the hot seat to stand. She gets one last shot at it and there's no way her ego won't take over. By the time she starts to speak the jury will have heard from the State's witnesses and she'll be transparent in her lies. JM knew that he can't unring the bells she rang this last time so he's leaving the jury to wonder why she never finished part one.
There's no way Ms Arias can talk her way out of this one. She'll only make it worse on herself.

I agree with you. Why strike testimony that everyone will remember anyway. And then you can't use it in your rebuttal and final argument? No way. Especially since it probably did not go all that well if her first kick at the witness stand is any indication. She just has a flat, emotionless way of saying all this stuff. It just doesn't resonate and looks like all lies.

OK. We disagree. . I think its better strategy for JM to keep his focus on the fact she wrote it to manipulate TA. We'll see soon enough where JM takes it.....
