I know I'm repeating myself, but don't forget these 'pedos' are the very scum that Nurmi advertises to defend, in his other life. Imagine the prosecution offering up the kind of 'proof' that he is doing in this trial. That's why I dislike Nurmi so much. Not because he is trying to save Arias from the DP, but because he is a hypocrite of the worst kind.

How could anyone except a billionaire afford him as a private attorney? He could charge $10/hour and end up costing you more than a decent $500/hour attorney would because he takes 100x as long to do everything.

JA was lied to about what was sex. So when she was baptized she really wasn't baptised. If that excuse does not fly, then she was baptised by someone who was lying to the church, so it did not count. Therefore, she could have any kind of sex she wanted because she would not be violating the Laws of Chastity. Therefore she is innocent of any wrongdoing and should be set free. NOT

Yea, because at the age of 26/27, even after having lived with at least 3 known male partners in intimate sexual relationships, she didn't know what the word "sex" meant.... and as for who she got baptized by, it was up to her to find and ask someone and surprise surprise, she chose the guy she planned to marry by hook or by crook, TA.

Exactly krkrjx! Just like when citizens "cheer" when a convicted death row inmate is finally put to death for their crime or crimes. It is ridiculous that a man of the law would couch a situation like this in such terms. It is so disingenuous and misleading.

Ya know...it is rather disingenuous considering it was his office that brought the charges and then proceeded to prosecute, and was and still is seeking the death penalty.

Havent had time to follow in a while and am trying to remember this McGee aka Witness #1. What was his relationship with the killer, why would he lie for her. TIA to anyone

If he did really say this then he is a clueless nitwit. People were not "cheering" because they thought this was "entertainment" or a "sporting event"... people were cheering because justice had been served in the brutal slaying of a resident of their state. They were also cheering at the fact that their police department and prosecutor were vindicated by the verdict as well. A murderous and dangerous defendant was stopped cold from continuing on her crime spree- would be another good reason to "cheer" such a verdict.

Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery issued a statement after the verdict was read, saying, "We look forward to the next phase of the proceedings, where the state will present evidence to prove the murder was committed in an especially heinous, cruel, or depraved manner.''

Just checked for Tweets from the courtroom ... none YET, but here's one from yesterday:

:dunno: I don't remember, but did he really say this -- or -- is this another JA lie ?

I don't recall him saying that either.

:seeya: Thanks !

It appears Montgomery stated it recently in an interview, which is linked above.

JA and her BFF who Tweeted this yesterday, put this out there for a reason :gaah:

He is a nitwit. Same nitwit that turned loose and dropped charges against the people who murdered 20 something dogs in thier "boarding kennel" and then threw the bodies in a shed to decompose while lying to thier distraught families.

He is a Jodi supporter who has been spouting off on social media sites that she did not get a fair trial. Some of his comments are very derogatory towards certain people. Deanna, Juan, etc. He is a Morman and his girlfriend lived with the Bishop for a time before they got married. She did not live with the Bishop when TA lived there. He is the person who said he confronted TA about child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 being on the Bishops computer.

Nurmi is making a big deal out of TA and Deanna talking marriage #jodiarias #3tvarias

jodi will love that

Well there's a 90% chance that today is one of the days Nurmi doesn't like Miss Arias very much.

... and does he not get the fact that many people who were "cheering" have been touched by violent crime personally? I honestly can't believe he made such a statement.

I recall Nurmi saying something like that, maybe in one of his motions against camera coverage of the retrial.

This was said in the context of a complete interview.

As you might imagine, it was quoted incompletely and out of context.
Are you ever surprised by which cases catch the public's attention?

There are times when it is surprising, because there's never a review of the cases to try to figure out what's going to grab someone's attention.

A moment stands out from the Jodi Arias trial: all the people who gathered in front of the courthouse for the reading of the verdict, and how they cheered when it came back guilty. That was sickening. This isn't done for sport or entertainment. The reason our trials are public is to maintain confidence.

The only other case that really has surprised me recently is the Gilbert dog case. The degree of intense interest and people following it has rivaled the Arias case.

Although it would seem at first glance that Montgomery was commenting on the Arias trial, he clearly can't be as the especially cruel lying torture murderess's trial is the most secretive and non-public trial in recent history.

Wow! That is just horrifying. I had not heard about this. Thank goodness, I think it would be too much to bear right now. I cannot stomach the thought of innocents being slaughtered which is what children and animals are to me. Those poor families.
