I recall Nurmi saying something like that, maybe in one of his motions against camera coverage of the retrial.

I gotta say...sounds more like something a defense attorney might say than a prosecutor. JMO. I need to see actual video, not just a photo with a caption.

Might this be an issue of cut and paste, possibly?

Court about to get started. No jury yet. Judge says a juror is feeling ill, but has agreed to remain till BP is finished. #jodiarias

Bill Montgomery's Statement made on January 23, 2015 :

Montgomery's Statement was posted on JA's Twitter Feb 1:

Interviewer: Are you ever surprised by which cases catch the public's attention?

BM: There are times when it is surprising, because there's never a review of the cases to try to figure out what's going to grab someone's attention.

A moment stands out from the Jodi Arias trial: all the people who gathered in front of the courthouse for the reading of the verdict, and how they cheered when it came back guilty. That was sickening. This isn't done for sport or entertainment. The reason our trials are public is to maintain confidence.

Maybe Nurmi can argue his motion to preclude Det. Smith since they'll have time this afternoon. Hope the juror is better in the morning.

Well, if that is the case we can probably expect other jurors to possibly get sick too. Just great- the flu will run through the jurors- what next?

I was under the impression that Nurmi argued to preclude last Wednesday morning, no?

Oh FGS! What he was saying was they don't do trials in public for the purpose of sport or entertainment. They do trials in public to maintain confidence in the system.

So reality is, HE DID NOT SAY IT...or he said the words but not in the context that was being implied.

THANK YOU very much, dog.gone.cute!

This is what happens when you allow endless delays. I don't blame the poor jurors one bit.

I bet the county attorney's office is so proud of his statement being tweeted by the defendants mitigation specialist- who is probably paid through their very own office!
