Juror No. 17 Not Dismissed
It remains unclear what is going on, but Flores just told us Juror No. 17 was not dismissed.

Well, it's a fact. She passed by Daryl's to borrow two gas cans. Then as she was heading out she bought a third. Her claim is that she bought it and returned it but there is no evidence that she did and there is evidence she still had it with her based on receipts.

Why is Jodi trying to claim she returned it? So it doesn't look so fishy that she bought so much gas to get through the whole state of Arizona without ever stopping to buy gas???

Well, if one juror was singled out to stay behind it seems there must be some issue with that juror. Unless that juror has reported something questionable that they heard or observed. Will we have to wait until MONDAY to find out?

You are probably very correct. Didnt she do this during the trial as well? And ones who didnt respond favorably to her she seemed to try to get booted off the juror pool?

I'm not too clear on it either. Sometimes I think it's for that reason, because it is so suspicious. But sometimes I think it's just because she doesn't like being wrong and loves telling others that they are wrong. It could be as simple as Juan's insistence that she had it that's made her formulate this lie. Who knows?!

It was her absolute undoing though, the lie about returning it.

Right. I know this is going to sound fake, but I have a .25 and have shot it. I bought it at a gun show because it was so cheap and I am an amateur gun collector.

My .25 is a "Cobra" brand and only holds 2 shots (over/under). LOL It fits in the palm of your hand and has a shell that is barely larger than a .22.

With that said, when it goes off, it is still pretty loud and it would have been possible for others to hear it. Although it not nearly as loud as guns that have larger calibers like a .44 or .357.

So the odds of someone hearing a .25 is much less than a larger gun would be.
Like you said, I think it is more likely that none of the neighbors were home, since the time of day most people were at work.

Also, in June in Arizona everyone has their house shut up tight with the AC on

Did I understand it propertly that if there is a mistrial this phase, then JA automatically gets Life sentence and the judge gets to decide LWOP or Life?

Also, Does that still hold true if they run out of alternates? Would JA just get life and the judge just get to decide what type of life sentence?

You are right MeeBee. JM knows Jodi had to have 3 gas cans because of all the gas she bought at the same time on different CC's. because Gas is cheaper in Nevada than it is in California, that's what Jodi said....that's why she BOUGHT it all in California :giggle:
