No, MDLR will not be there for the execution (if there is one) unless she wants to be. It is certainly not part of her job!

Question for AZL. I know that there is a much wider latitude in regards to what comes in for this phase of the trial but what I want to know is can Juan in closing statements mention how they changed their defense from penalty to sentencing? Like in the first trial it was all about DV and now it seems they are going for mental illness, it's not her fault. And they vehemently argued against mental illness in the last phase. Would that be allowed or is it too prejudicial?

They were mentioning DV back in the guilt phase too--it was part of the self-defense angle. They can't argue self-defense now, because she's been found guilty. So of course Juan can't say "why isn't she arguing self-defense anymore," because the reason is that she's not allowed to, even if she still thinks it was self-defense.

Juan also can't bring up Nurmi's arguments/cross-examination questions from the prior phase, because arguments and questions are not evidence.

Because BPD and psychopathy are what she has, not PTSD, but they can't bring in the psychopathy. It's refuting her PTSD as a mitigating factor. She has a personality disorder, but she's not so mentally ill that she didn't know right from wrong. She can't plead insanity.

There would be no problem bringing in psychopathy if it were a proper psychological diagnosis (which I'm not sure it is) and if any expert witness had opined that she had it (which they haven't).

yes, I read that when in a counseling session with one who is dx BPD, that they have a 2nd counselor with them to make sure the one is not duped by the client.

Then the counselors have to cross check their impressions/notes because the BPD-er can easily triangulate them.

This all screams of Jodi's defense strategy! Jodi truly believes that Travis deserved to die because he "made her" into a . Jodi never considered that he might actually like her more if she wasn't. Travis was looking for a wife he could not only enjoy having sex but also someone whom he could respect. Jodi traded respect for becoming what she thought he wanted in an eternal goddess.

Think she might have met Abe same time or after Travis was trying to get away from her. Used Abe to try to get to Travis.

How many 1 night stands did CMJA have? Who knows. No man is going to kiss & tell with this mess.

What about the female roommate that JA had? Revolving door of men in that apartment. Roommate was creeped out by her behavior. Lots & lots in the background of JA
