Well, he can tell someone viewed something that had an ad that had a picture, but I don't think anyone downloaded anything she's babbling about. And no one can tell who used this computer - really for anything - unless they want to say it was all Deanna Reid, who registered it-
The whole line of questions is ridiculous, IMO.

Technically, he can't even do that.

He can see that data were accessed (read and written) from/to areas of the hard drive.

He may attribute these accesses to device (operating system)- or user-initiated causes, but he cannot conclusively prove it.

Even his experiment, while interesting, shows what happened once under controlled conditions which were not identical to the reality on that Compaq Presario on dates/times in question.

I never cease to be amazed at the assumptions people (judges, attorneys, law enforcement professionals, jurors) make under the mistaken belief that they are proven fact.

Can the State or JA prove that TA even used that Compaq Presario in 2008? Even once?

More to the point, where is the mitigation here?

I have asked this before, but has anybody from JM office looked to see if any of the view dates correlate with entries in JA journals that she was at TA's house those days? They could have been visited by JA or by them as a mutually interested couple. IMO

If you view a message board, or blog with a video snippet, or GIF in someone's signature, it will show up in this type of search. I think anyone here would show the same thing, even if you never clicked on it, or downloaded it -
if it was on your screen, even if it was tiny, it'll be there. These questions are silly, and yes there is no way to know with any certainty who was using the comupter (as TD points out). Silly questions, not mitgators, not relevant, and should not be allowed. I hope the techie person is still on the jury. SO not a mitigator, IMO.

I worked for a large University in the admissions dept. We received email requests for admissions info - 1000's per day. The person who was assigned to respond to the emails saw crazy embedded in many e-mails...videos or gifs playing when the email was opened. No one ever clicked on a link to see them......
