They can. Juan decided it wasn't necesaary. I agree with the call.
I'm thinking that when this whole trial started the prosecution's case was so strong that JSS felt she could let the defense get away with ridiculous requests because of overwhelming evidense against their client. As the years have passed, juries have been bombarded with such extraneous crap from the defense that they are confused and now have no true knowlege of what the hell happened. I hope I'm wrong, but worried that this is now true.
