Are any of you surprised the judge is going to banish everyone to the overflow room? I'm not. Not at all. There is just no way in heck any JSS supporters can spin this to support the judge. She has no control, none.

Actually, as long as the media can hear her, let the judge do it. Show the jury AGAIN that everytime a Jodi speaks, the courtroom is empty. This would speak volumes to me, as a juror.

The COA already said she could do that as a remedy to her request. That's probably what they are asking for.

In high profile cases it's been known to happen. In regular cases no not at all.

It doesn't work for the DT this time as COA and AZ Supreme Court already ruled that the defendant cannot testify in secrecy/private, PERIOD.

Public and media right to open courtroom, although I think JSS has the option of sending the media/public to overflow room. We'll see what JSS decides/happens after lunch, if indeed the defendant is going to allocute. Never know what's going to happen in JSS secret courtroom. argh

Imo that was Willmott's blunder. She spoon fed him everything and he just followed along.

I'm still stuck at wondering what was in the thick folder and why Flores left looking stressed. Doesn't sound like allocution related, does it?

No idea about the thick folder but I wonder if Flores looks stressed because the state wasn't preparing for this right now. They were most likely preparing for the 3 remaining witnesses we all saw coming down the pike. Now they have to scramble to be prepared for an allocution and closing instead of Dr. F, Pseu, and Dworkin.

But that is just a guess.

Yes! She'll demand that she be allowed to sit and 'watch' them deliberate. The Judge will say absolutely not, then there will be a sidebar and then the staff will run off to get a LaZ Boy complete with drinks and magazines for Arias. After all, it is a death penalty case and we do not want any appellate issues, remember? :gaah:

IIRC, the COA said a remedy would be to allow the public/press to be in the overflow room while she testified.

COA: "The trial court correctly found that there was an alternative to closing the trial—having the press and public view her testimony from a different courtroom."

Seems clear cameras must be on and volume up in the overflow room imo. And iirc allocution will be done by JA alone, without Willmott guiding the way as in her secret testimony.

From the tweets it looks like Juan's good mood changed when he started reading it. I am thinking we have the invisible computer guy coming up next to testify on the 200 pages of what he is now claiming is porn.
I kind of thought that giving the long lunch was to allow Juan ample time to read it all. LOL! Nurmi would have gotten a week or two!

Makes sense to me. I wonder what happened to these so called witnesses. Was it planned all along to say they call them and not call them. Dr. G blunder so badly that Jen and Kirk decided not to take any more chances. Maybe Jen and Kirk have vacation plans coming up soon and they want this trial over!!!
