I keep picturing the "mystery" witness rising from a trap door in the middle of the courtroom floor. LOL
Seriously, how can they keep this person a secret? Are they now going to cordon off the courthouse? Establish a perimeter around the neighborhood? So ridiculous.

I don't even want to wrap my head around that one. And the journalists I am following on twitter are abuzz with JA and the "secret surprise" witness are one and the same. However.....your thought is rather even more of a brain twist

Please feel free to ignore it...my mental twister is not something I'd ever like to become contagious. I do trust Troy Hayden...if he thinks it's her, I'm inclined to go with that.

What are the chances she was seen on the stand but she's still not the mystery witness? Does that question even make any sense at all?

It does make sense. Perhaps her testimony laid foundation for the testimony to come. Not so far-fetched, IMHO.

I saw David Archuletta rise up from a trap door like that playing the piano and singing...in a concert. The thing that throws me off is the "scheduling" thing. Maybe they just wanted her to testify BEFORE someone else due to their schedule conflict, but then again why secret on her?

One other thing that keeps roaming in my head is her pattern of jacking people around. One minute she wants this then threatens to keep it or else (representing herself for one). If this is just her as a closed witness, I doubt she will keep that up and we will see another argument threatening this or that if they don't let her speak in front of the public or somesuch nonsense.

I would say - 0% . And I'm waving at you from the friendly skies! :seeya:

Have a safe and fun trip!

Makes sense to me. I still do not believe it is her. And I think Kieffer was responsible for any leak or is one of the "3 credible informants" Things are just too smelly here.

I also want to say just because I want to say it, in BOTH our death penalty trials the convicts were in court during the sentencing phase of the trial in shackles and prison garb. And visible handcuffs. The entire time.

As they should be! Once they are guilty, that should be the end of "special privileges as a defendant". Besides, she rocks those stripes and chains and fancy footwear ...

Nononono its...well you're free to think and speculate like all of us. Its not a bad thought in the least. It was just a doozy like...oh wow her AND someone?!? Great googly moogly I'd never even thought of that

Okay maybe I drank too much coffee this morning and I know I'm repeating stuff thats already been posted but I can think of two things as to why JSS ruled the way she did. First, she ruled against the media bc she has a feeling it will be appealed by the appeals court anyway, thus further trying to protect against another mistrial motion that would be filed by the defense, figuring, let the appeals court handle it.

Second, if CMJA is the mystery witness, she's going to be testifying or should I say "testilying" to all sorts of terrible stuff about Travis and maybe juan Martinez didn't put up a fight to keep everyone but family out because his main goal is to get this over with for the Alexander's and doesn't care much about the media and doesn't want all her lies about Travis being tweeted out to the world again. I can see this bc during the hearing yesterday he made a statement about how he didn't want a stay either as this has been going on for six years.

Or I guess the third option is JSS wasn't paying attention in grade school, high school, college and law school where all students learn about the constitution of our great country

My question is this: Aren't TA's family allowed in court? Then they would have seen who testified surely. Maybe it was somehow leaked from them....not that they leaked it but someone that knew them.

I was reading some posts on the last page of the last thread. Some think maybe Jodi is telling this jury how much she loved Travis (just wanted to stop his pedophilia, etc) but she never wanted to hurt him.

At what point did she think it didn't hurt? After the first stab, the second, the third, the fourth, the fifth, and so on? Or maybe when she slit his throat she REALLY didn't want to hurt him? Or maybe it was that gun shot to his head. Ouch, that wouldn't hurt too much. I mean. Come on. She never wanted to hurt him but she thinks he deserved it, right?

Picture yourself as a juror who honestly knows nothing of this crime, which is unbelievable in itself. Would you believe the murderer (who has already been found guilty of murder with aggravating cruelty) if she said she never wanted to hurt Travis? Ok, let's say she believed her own lies of pedophilia, why not go to the police? Do you kill someone because you are concerned? Crap!

This was nothing more than a low life, scheming, conniving murderer who was jealous and enraged that Travis was not going to marry her. There is no goodness in her. Nothing redeemable. The jury will see it.

No, the family of JA are just spectators like the rest of the public, only with reserved seats. Only the family of the victim has these rights.

In the CA case, Cindy and George were only allowed to be in the courtroom by a defense motion which stated that since Caylee was their granddaughter, they were to be considered family of the victim! Thus, they, unlike other witnesses were not barred from the courtroom. IE, IMHO, they used Caylee to hear the testimony they would then use to fabricate their lies on the stand as supporters of Casey. Sick, sick...

At this point, I am eagerly awaiting the Appellate Court decision.

Mollyandme, I also agree (and posted on the other thread the very same thing). JSS may have ruled and sealed her reasoning to appease the defense and let the Appellate Court make the final decision...

Why i think she's playing the victim protecting her abuser by lying about him in closed court.....

From her blog, September 8, 2014.

Largely paraphrased and summarized, with most relevant quotes.

Travis was the first to make "🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" her nickname. He beat her down emotionally as "only an aspiring motivational speaker could." Often enough she came to believe those words.

After each outburst he would appear apologetic and have a "renewed determination to be better."

"I know he wouldn't want to be remembered as someone who kept that word in his arsenal..."

"What bothers me is that (this name calling) is part of Travis's "legacy" (her quotation marks). I know that if he knew how many people today perpetuate his worse self by sustaining that trend he iniated ...it would make him sad and ashamed."

"His darkside was only one aspect of himself and closeted in the dark is where he wanted to keep it."

"But haters don't care about what Travis would want." (Calling her a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬) is the symbolic passing of the torch that keeps alive the memory of his worst self."

LOL, no I put TA for Travis Alexander... I knew the convict's family was not there...sorry it was not clear, thank you!

And I totally agree with your points about the Anthony's!!! Sick people!

Nana was asking about Travis's family. Yes, they were in court. They are victims and were allowed to stay. I doubt they would leak the info to anyone.

Oh please Jodi! No one thinks of him as a bad person. You are exactly what he called you and you liked it, since I am sure Bobby and Matt knew you as that long before you introduced Travis to KY jelly.

Good grief, name calling is abuse according to JA. Heck, I am been called every name in the book.

Maybe in prison, the killer will grow up.

If I could type what I really think of Arias I'd get banned. Suffice it to say that if Travis could tell us what he thinks of her now then he'd call her all those names again and 'beg' her for her to get the death penalty. She meant nothing to Travis. Her words mean nothing.

Rose, this is why I believe she will get the DP. I'm ok with LWOP but I think JM will hold nothing back this time around. Maybe we won't get to see it but he will fight hard. Jodi has been news for so long but her star is waning. I would like to see her locked down for the rest of her miserable life.

:blushing: Sorry! Enough reading for me! My eyes are getting blurry... well, the right eye is, anyway.

If, indeed, it was JA on the stand, I'm betting Nurmi will attribute the "3 leaks" to TA's family!

Gotta give it to Travis - most abusers have to at least live in the same state as their victims, in order to exert and maintain the amount of control necessary to keep victims as victims.

Most victims of emotional abuse who are fortunate enough to move hundreds of miles away never look back. Not stalk their abuser.

Not Jodi though. As ever, I find her claims absolutely offensive and a blight to educating others on emotionally abusive relationships. I wish she'd be sentenced so she'd fade into obscurity already.

Please pardon errors as posted via Tapatalk with a less than stellar user.

Lamb Chop, please delete if I am not supposed to repeat anything Beth Karas says. But she said she also believes it is Jodi on the stand and that it makes sense to her. You would have to go to her site for her explanation.
