That's right. Victim impact statements and allocutions can't be cross-examined.So kn will not be able to speak to her, ask her questions? object, approach her?

If my guess is right, somehow I believe Tanisha would welcome the opportunity to speak up for Travis in court, and to defend their family.
A very large part of what makes Travis so special, imo, is precisely that the deprivations and abuse in his childhood did NOT define him.
That he had the strength of spirit and soul to rise far above and beyond. That the experience didn't make him an abuser, for g's sake, but a compassionate , generous man.
PLEASE tell me what AFKBPOFPOPL means? Thanks!
We know this, we saw the last trial, where TA's ex girlfriends and friends talked about what kind of a person he was, and how kind and sweet, but this jury hasn't seen any of that. They have only seen a glimmer of a shadow of what kind of person he was. I think the only thing so far they have seen besides bloody pictures is hearing the sex tape. Im afraid that Nurmi will get up there and paint a picture of a person and they won't have anything to balance it with or compare it with. I'm not happy that Juan rested Tuesday. I don't feel that Travis has been fleshed out enough, or that they truly have a picture of how devious and deceitful JA was during the trial.
Just received confirmation: Tanisha is doing her Victim Impact Statement today.
I am hoping the tweets today will include information after the sidebars (ie: sustained/overrulled).
I am just finding this out but I'm suspecting Juan Martinez is having one VIS read today at the close of his initial phase then others at the end of the retrial.
I just tweeted Jen, Wild and Jeff Gold asking them to do this...
Nurmi is seated and reviewing papers. Fully reclinated. #jodiarias
Do you think he reclinates while eating at the kitchen table that same way? I can just see it- honestly- could he just sit proper in a court of law like everyone else does? It is so disrespectful.
What kind of a person goes to law school and then decides his specialty will be to defend allegations of rape and pedophilia?
What was his family life like? I wonder.
Are only 2 Victim Impact Statements allowed to be done, or can any of his siblings do this?
He's not done yet.
