I think that's it... Nurmi hopes to make JM look bad. And Flores, too. But why is he so hellbent on raising issues without basis? IMO, to rile. To incite. To get tongues wagging in the media and online. That way he can claim their case is being tried in the media and it's not a fair trial and secrecy is a MUST under the circumstances. Hey, if he could get lucky and find something that would stick against JM that would be a bonus but I think his main objective is to say anything that gets noticed, to get people riled so "threats" might ensue, which are fodder for yet another motion or an appeal crying about all the attention the case got means there was never any chance of a fair trial.

Well, Nurmi actually has found "one" to stick against JM at least in the media. Of written word.

Which "one" are you referring to?

I am moving slowly this morning so if I am asking you to explain the obvious, I apologize.

Which will go nowhere because she was not claiming abuse at the time and they were proven to be from a virus. Plus did she not admit under oath to giving him a CD which had a virus on it?

True, but KN seems more interested in quantity, not quality.

And another thing that bothers me very very much is referring to Travis as "TDogg" while giving testimony. I feel this is highly disrespectful to the dead Travis. I think referring to him by a nickname is another slap in his face, like he had a duo personally, which of course is the DT goal. The victim is relegated to a parody while the killer is afforded all these rights including the ok to trash the poor victim over and over again. It's absolutely abhorable. I trust that Juan will sort it all out for the jury so they see the truth... that CMJA was obsessed with Travis, she stalked him, and it was unhealthy. That Travis, because he was a nice person, didn't want to hurt Jodi so let her actions slide again & again, until finally his patience wore out and he saw that only being blunt was the way to deal with her, thinking she was 1000 miles away and couldn't hurt him, as I have no doubt he was scared of her emotional lability. And then she shows up at his doorstep and unfortunately the rest is history.
It was his nickname but it isn't for the D to call him that. They weren't friends. And they are using it like he had another personality...please now

Thank you Rose. At the end of the day, we all know Travis was a good guy, a normal guy, and he wanted a future without a psychopath in it. We love him and we never even met him. I hope Samantha can realize that after all the sleaze is over, she can rest assured Travis will shine through!

TA's last blog post on May 18, in which he announced his hopes of finding a woman who wasn't a "gold-digger" or someone with "an axe murderer penned up inside of her". I think TA's public repudiation of women like JA, who monitored his blog, sealed his fate.

No according to the media it was Jodi herself. Her testimony had stopped short of meeting Travis. And she is now refusing to testify with anyone in the Courtroom. Apparently this time she's "shy" eyeroll ....

We have all seen those pics of her Holland tunnel. She sat on the stand for weeks recounting with smirks and half smiles talking about her nasty a@@, literally. I'm sure at night she's smiling to herself how easy it is to have all these people twisting and turning. When JM retires from the prosecutors office I would love to see him write a book about this case. Jmo

ciao

I remember when Kiefer tweeted that and the implication was that she was "livid" with Juan and Flores. But in light of Juan's revelations, I wonder what she was really livid about. She had obviously been called in by Juan in case she needed to testify so she already knew his side. Was she livid at Nurmi for inadvertently shining a light on a mistake that she herself made? Is she livid at false accusations being leveled at the state and/or at herself? Because Nurmi certainly implied that whatever happened was done with nefarious intent but she was the one who had the computer at this time and the deletions happened on her watch. So now the implication is she did something wrong, which she probably didn't. Or is she just livid at being dragged into this?

It's like AZL said, if Nurmi had just called, he could have gotten to the bottom of this before he filed the motion and made a fool out of everyone. But it's kind of his thing. Rushing to something before thinking it through and getting all his facts first. There was that time he got all excited about Travis' assault criminal record, when it was Travis' brother using Travis' name. That time he rushed to get Jean Casarez on the stand because he thought she said something she didn't say on a sensationalistic news channel. The time he thought juror 17 was going to be on Dr. Drew that night when it was actually juror 17 from the previous trial (I somewhat also blame HLN for the attention-grabbing headline). And on it goes.

He's trying to create appeals issues for the future but after crying wolf so many times, you think those judges will ever take him seriously? When you start whining about every single little thing without basis people do not take you seriously. They'll go through the papers and see that everything he complained about had a logical explanation. Jodi can't even complain about ineffective assistance (though she will) because Nurmi is doing his damnedest. He just gets a little excited sometimes.

If Maria S wasn't mad enough about getting dragged into it needlessly - as AZL pointed out, a KN phone call to JM would have saved all that nonsense - she had to be absolutely livid by the time it was done after having to hear KN state that MS was obviously ineffective counsel.

Edited to add: I have no doubt that she was mad going in at KN not JM. It was a big waste of time, and 100% KN's fault.

I think CMJA fed him the garbage and he leapt at it. He seems to be taking the trial very personally. I think he genuinely detests JM for destroying his feeble witnesses and for shredding his fairy tales.

But it was CMJA who was obsessed with getting her hands on the harddrive, because she knew about the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 popups. When Nurmi or the expert checked and saw the files deleted he fell all the way down her revenge rabbit hole without checking out basic facts.

His bad. His client's badness seems to be contagious.

I'm still of the opinion this was strategically timed so that during dark days, headlines and conjecture would be made (e.g. TMZ headine and others) that the jury might catch a glimpse of. :moo:

Usually you have to line your witnesses up to establish foundation for the next witness, right? So how could jodi of been up first without the foundation of whatever abuse being laid first? Maybe she wasn't the secret witness.. Unless I'm wrong?

BINGO! And that is why this witness now cannot speak to 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 :D The foundation was not laid, and Juan's wonderful response nailed that piece of spaghetti to the wall :juanettes: :juanettes: :juanettes:

ETA: Or perhaps she can speak to it... hmmmmm, she may have been able to do that before Juan submitted it be completely barred?

The good news yesterday was the judge grew a pair and told KN to get a move on.

The bad news is that he's doing that at an even slower pace than during the original trial.

:seeya: I was very surprised that JSS finally told the defense to move this case along ... about time !

 JMO but I think she had a little talking to ?

I hope this pace continues ... no need for any more delays !

OK, I'm still a little confused. We know the virus was on the computer when it was shut down at the scene and JM says the virus was active between May28th and Jun10th. When forensics did the initial image copy, there was no 🤬🤬🤬🤬 but it was infected w/virus and malware. Then the laptop was activated by defense in 2009, and per Nurmi's claims 1,000's of files were deleted, etc. on that date and it's history showed those 🤬🤬🤬🤬 site links.

If the virus was active in days before and after TA's death, why was there no 🤬🤬🤬🤬 or deletions in the initial image copy?

And if there were links to those 🤬🤬🤬🤬 sites in 2014, wouldn't Nurmi's examiner be able to see the dates of those links and know it was in 2009 if that's when all this occurred?

I also notice that JM is asking for the defense's image copy, is he asking for the image copy for what state it's in now? And will JSS order that be turned over to JM?

And maybe this is something for AZLawyer, but would the attorneys normally make a note of this 2009 incident and virus activity that happened on their watch? Would they have been obligated to advise the PD that this had happened when they powered it up?

They are very very upset over in Jodi-World because JSS has not 'dealt with' Nurmis motion to prosecute the prosecutor. But they are convinced that she just hasn't read it yet, and when she does, both Flores and Juan will be walking away in handcuffs. And their goddess will be one step closer to freedom.
Someone asked about the trojan viruses, and they poo pooed that possibility. NO WAY that thousands of pages of 🤬🤬🤬🤬 had any connection with malaware. It is good enough for them to know that both juan and Flores were present, thus were the responsible parties for this criminal tampering. They expect them to be fired, disbarred, arrested and in thrown prison, very very soon.
