All over Twitterland - bodies have been found on surface of water, officials trying to confirm if they are alive or not. Don't know what I can link. It says from officials but I don't see direct link.

I'm right there with you, hoping they don't have a great lens and these are close up, because the other pic could be a body with a life vest. There is NO way. These have to be huge items in the water, at least that is my hope, as well.

Totally agree, the other pic that could be a body with a life jacket….I am just wondering if they had prepared to ditch….it would be very unusual for crew to advise pax to don their life jacket at high altitude unless a signal was given to the cabin crew to instruct pax to do so. Maybe at that last point of contact to ATC the crew knew danger was imminent. Unfortunately these pictures will tell a thousand words as to this terrible tragedy.

If those bodies are wearing life jackets and are intact then this just got weirder.
If the plane is mostly intact then I will be even more confused.
If this was a nearly pulled off ditching it will be heartbreaking to think how close they were to surviving. :tears:

I just looked it up and it does appear there are sharks in the Java Sea.
This could end up being really horrific. I hope they died before they hit the water. lease:

I feel so bad for the families. That is somebody's loved one! Shame on the media for showing such graphic pictures.

I'm thankful that it was found quickly. Praying for peace for these families, and also many families who will be experiencing a range of new emotions after the Malaysian Airlines plane disasters this year.

They showed someone being lowered down towards the body so hopefully they recovered it for the family.

RIP - I hope the recovery operation is now straightforward. Heartbreaking to think of them donning life jackets and knowing what was about to happen [emoji17]
