San Mateo [which is just north of Satsuma] is called "God's Country" by everyone who lives there, btw. And many/all people in San Mateo get their mail via Satsuma zip code.

I'm only on page 8 - I'm catching up but if you go to Bill's myspace - Knee High to Tree HIgh and go to his friends and type in 'Amy Baker', her myspace pops up. I am only assume its the same Amy Baker. I Hope I'm not repeating info. I did post her myspace at the beginning of the thread.

As for videos from Walmart surely LE would have obtained those to determine if Chad was there and if he bought anything, etc. Maybe they have and they're just being tight lipped about their findings so they don't compromise the case?

Foul play can't be ruled out obviously, but I also feel that the possibility he had something to do with Haleigh's abduction is just too real to ignore. He has connections in the area, knows the area, and his past crime fits this one perfectly. Sometimes you can't ignore "coincidences".

Surely this was an urge of his from his past actions. Obviously in jail he behaved b/c there aren't any minor girls in jail. He's only been out for a few short months and this happens.

They need to publish his picture more. If he is out there still someone HAD to have seen him. At a gas station, walking, grocery store, I mean it's hard to hide out with your picture plastered everywhere.

Chad is a HUGE possibility in this case because of past MO and present missing status. From the postings by his Stepmother, however, I sadly think Chad is the victim of some other horrible event. Chad needs to be cleared of any involvement, and he needs to be found - plain and simple. I do NOT understand why LE is not more interested in him - either as a perp, or as a Missing Person. Just another example of why I am less than impressed with the law enforcement handling of this case.

I don't believe Chad is deceased. I think he did abscond, personally. I also think people close to him could have helped him...like Bill and Amy. There were no known threats towards him besides a possible tiff with Amy's ex (which could just be Amy throwing that in the mix to throw off LE and because she is pissed at him for some reason).

I have to agree his MO does fit with things we know about this case...if we can believe MC and now Rj. Still...placing him in the area and for him to have knowledge of Haleigh is another thing. If they have any DNA or fingerprint evidence...it would have come up by now, imo. So either they don't have anything or he was careful to wear gloves.

In the obit for Chad's sister it was mentioned that one of the families favorite places was Silver Glen Springs. That is in Ocala National Forest and I would think that from where he was to the national forest he could have passed directly through Satsuma.
I am not familiar with the area.
I can look at the map but that does not tell me the best way to go, especially if you wanted to avoid major highway and state police.

What does anybody else think about this possiblity?

James Couey was a convicted SO who broke into the home of Jessica Lunsford while her grandparents slept nearby. He kept her in his NEXT DOOR trailer and fed her pizza, and raped her for several days before placing her in black trash bags, while telling her he was "taking her home" and then placing her in a grave ALIVE that he had obviously already dug! The bastard buried her ALIVE after raping her over several days....and ALL OF THIS HAPPENED NEXT DOOR!!!! WHY did LE not find his finger prints??? Evidence is great when it is in.....but the lack of it rules out nothing IMHO.

No. Best way would be via Hwy 19 or Hwy 40 from the west side of Ocala National Forest and west side of St. Johns River. Satsuma would be a very long, roundabout way to get there. Not real familiar with Fort Gates Ferry, though. But still, I have been invited to Silver Glen many times and people either take their boats from Palatka down there, or or take their boats on trailers down to a closer boat ramp via Hwy 19.

I've never been, but wowie - it is wild as all get-out down there these days. Wives "flashing" their at other guys as their husbands look on, etc. I have a neighbor who goes down there frequently; will ask her more tomorrow. [Probably out partying tonite - though she has kids same age as mine.]

I only caught the tail end of his "interview" w/Ron. When Geraldo asked Ron about "Marcus and Chad", Ron got upset and EVEN HIS MAMA, TERESA NEVES did, too, telling them to turn the cameras off right now.

Hate to say this, stepmother mM, but Chad might be the one. At least he's not dead... if that's the case.
