RI - Mass Shooting at Brown University - Providence 13 Dec 2025

That's actually less helpful than the first video. Hopefully what they have coming is better quality.
But it shows direction, which can provide direction for investigation. I hope.

timestamped. apparently only a minute or two after the shooting. hopefully they can keep piecing together his movements from digging up more camera footage from various sources, until they find something useful like a car or a train he got on.

I just rewatched the press conference from last night.

Providence mayor: shortly we will be releasing the person of interested that had been detailed early today. We know that this is likely to cause fresh anxiety for our community. we want to reiterate what we've said from the beginning from the initial call a day and a half ago we have not received any credible or specific threats to the providence community.

***SIR you had a mass shooting and the shooter is out there. I don't think anyone cares that there was no credible threat, clearly this happened without there being a credible threat so it's not reassuring to say there is not threat.

Attorney General: One lead us to detaining a person of interest. Certainly, there was some degree of evidence that pointed to this individual. That evidence now points in a different direction.

*** Interesting that evidence pointed to this person, but now it points somewhere else. WHAT evidence could have pointed to this guy, but now it points somewhere else?

What I didn't hear was them saying this person was not involved, we are sorry we detained him and it took so long to clear him, or anything about leaving this person alone as they are not involved. Just seems more like oh well it's part of what we do and it's unfortunate his name was leaked. It's kinda hard to keep it quiet when you are raiding a person's house halfway across the country.

I don't think I notice a strange gait in this video. Do any of you?

CNN had an interview with the TA in the room.

He didn't say it explicitly, but I thought it sounded like he has probably been asked not to discuss certain details.

Nope, not even close. Looks like the gait of a person on typical evening walk, without any indication he was in any hurry at all.

Yes, especially when he was asked about his eyes conversation. IMO

Without sounding like a crazy person, is there a type of device you can carry to mess with the quality of a security camera, like a signal jammer. Because I have very cheap Blink doorbell camera's (Like the cheapest my husband bought them without consulting me) and they are pretty amazing quality wise. Mine pick up much better quality even at night and it's very clear from a distance. But maybe the cheap ones are just good and we got lucky I don't know much about doorbell cams, other than mine are cheap and fantastic quality.

Interesting as this is though someone for some reason was purposely videoing this walker. IMO
It says 144 Waterman on the clip (top right) so I presume this is a surveillance cam on this building

I believe it is from a security camera.

On just a cursory view, IMO it doesn't appear that the person in this new video is wearing the same jacket that the person in yesterday's video was wearing. Today I see a dark grey, slightly longer-cut coat, where yesterday it apeared to be a shorter black coat.

At first I thought it was just the way the video was edited, but I think it must be a camera with person-tracking and that is able to swivel. Not familiar with what brand, but I'd bet that's what it is.

Google street view shows this is right in front of the Waterman Professional building at 148 Waterman.

So the camera appears to be on 144 Waterman on the side of the building. That building appears to be apartments.
yeah, i was just looking at that. the first video showed him turning right from hope onto waterman, and this shows him on waterman moments later and about 1/3 of the way down the block.

New video....he's walking very close to the vegetation edge, not in the center area of the sidewalk.
Not that it helps at all, doesn't, but something I noticed, as though he's trying to blend into the background.

No, I don't. I wonder if the odd gait in the first video was because he was rounding a corner and the camera angle was more behind him and this one is just him walking a straight line across from the camera.

If he has that right hand in his pocket because the gun is in there, then I can see staying super close to the right of the sidewalk and sorta subconsciously protecting the gun. The left hand is still swinging like we see in the first video, but right hand is not.

The two Brown University students killed in a mass shooting Saturday were identified as Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov and Ella Cook.

Umurzokov was from Uzbekistan, in central Asia, and “had a bright future” ahead of him, his aunt Karina Gabit said.

She described him as "very kind" and smart. She said he wanted to be a neurosurgeon after he underwent brain surgery when he was 10.

The Uzbekistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed Umurzokov’s death and said in a translated Telegram post: "The loss of innocent lives as a result of this tragedy is a heavy loss for all of us...

May their memories be a blessing.
