RI - Mass Shooting at Brown University - Providence 13 Dec 2025

So, one more thought RE: the escape route. I recall noticing earlier that Waterman is a one-way street that goes AWAY from the location of the shooting. So, the shooter heads up Hope Street and turns right on Waterman and that street is one way going in the direction away from the shooting. LE and others arriving would NOT be driving on Waterman where the man was walking because it's impossible to take a one way going the opposite direction. Maybe the shooter chose to walk that way for this exact reason. NO first responders would be flying past him or noticing him walking away if they aren't driving down that street to get to the scene. The only place he would encounter officers arriving would be right outside the building on Hope Street, but once he got to Waterman, he could walk pretty much without fear of any LE arriving via that road.

here it is. you can see a triangular object or three small objects clustered together on his chest. also, some kind of v-neck looking pattern.

might help rule in or rule out specific products.

Your post gave me an idea - what if the perp chose Saturday based on HIS schedule? Maybe he's not available on weekdays to commit murder.

Your opinion in turn triggered some thoughts and questions.

• Sunday could be inefficient because not many of the targeted people would be on campus due to traditional lifestyle obligations such as going to church?
• Monday through Thursday could be inconvenient if the murderer(s) works day jobs whereas timecards are used such that slaking may cause relatively significant loss of revenue
• May be, Friday could be for prayers or for community socialization for the murderer(s)?
• May be Saturday is targeted because it is an important day of the week for some people who are very interested about studying successfully economics and assiduous about attending the university including in weekends

All of these are IMHO, but that is sleuthing for. We homo sapiens communicate efficiently and collaborate effectively much more successfully than all other mammals.

Officials are expected to hold a news conference on the Brown University shooting investigation at 4 p.m. ET today, according to the office of Providence Mayor Brett Smiley.

The news conference comes as authorities continue the manhunt for the perpetrator of Saturday’s deadly mass shooting.

Law enforcement officials continue sifting through hundreds of tips and taking DNA swabs as police have also asked the public for helpidentifying someone seen in a photo crossing paths with the person of interest in the case.

I'm dipping in and out of this thread so may have missed this point, but if the gunman had a beard part of the purpose of the mask could have been to hide the fact and also make it less likely for a beard hair to have been left at the scene.

If a beard (or head) hair was left, that could be the source of the DNA they have.

I am not sure that any hair was left, but everyone knows about hair so he probably took extra precautions. Anyhow, I think that he has some odd hair on the face and that his lower part of the face looks very different without all such covers. Initially I thought a receding chin and a thick neck might look like “chin in the middle of the neck” and I know such people - it is a very definitive trait. But now I wonder if he has a beard that when out, totally changes the face. A mask is not impossible too.

On a totally another side, we don’t know the gender. If the person has breasts then sometimes bandaging them might end up looking like a “think midriff”. JMO. I am not sure if the person aimed at making themselves look more obese but masqueraded something in the lower chest/upper abdomen.

What we can see of this individual's eyes has bothered me right from the first pic. IMO, they seem very tiny and too small and narrow set in relation to the size of his face and general body structure. I wondered if he was possibly wearing a face mask in addition to the usual black Covid type mask .

you can see the bottom and top black elastics that come horizontally off the black medical mask at chin level and ear level, but there appears to be some other kind of straps between the top of the black medi mask and the toque.

I also noticed what seems to be a discoloured (?) thickness around the neck area below the black medi mask and at one point thought he might be wearing some type of cowl neck scarf or turtleneck. Am now wondering if they are sporting on of those uber realistic face masks with the other masks overlaid.

If he's wearing a silicone mask under his Covid type mask, I'm still wondering -- why are the eyes so close together? Could the mask be too small, or his face be thinner than it appears to be? For him to see out of such a mask, wouldn't his eyes have to be in the same place as the mask's eye holes?

After seeing your post, like many, I wondered whether his belly is real. It looks real to me -- I know guys with a similar build -- but who knows. One thing that has confused me is that he seems thinner in some photos than in others. That could just be camera angles or aspect ratios. (A variable size doesn't make sense in terms either of a real belly or a fake belly, unless it's fake and he can put things in it. That seems unlikely, but who knows.)

If he's lighter than he appears to be, that might explain his ease in movement and running, but then again, one can be both fit and heavy.

If he's wearing a silicone mask and/or a fake belly, I would expect that he might try to adjust them at some point. (But I don't know for sure, as I've never worn such things.) In any event, I haven't seen him do that on the publicly accessible videos.

ETA: And yes, I also wonder about the PIP (Person in Proximity). If they are a close associate of the POI, they could also be in disguise, which might explain some of their contradictory-seeming characteristics.

Sorry, if already discussed, just jumping on, re beer belly.
Yes, I thought fake beer belly, plus padded ice hockey shorts. Fake beer belly gives the obvious
protruding belly, appearance to throw off cops( these can be “empty”, to put an entire 12 pack of beer in, straw to mouth. Still empty in this case?) Also, padded ice hockey shorts, gives the appearance of lower abdomen” love handles, muffin top”, plus thick thighs, buttocks.

If it is a fake belly, maybe uneven weight, maybe why leaning back( balance), hands behind back, not 100% comfortable, adjusting to the unbalanced weight. Can run ok. Take off all later to be “ thin”, no belly, so not easily identified by cops.
