The 'after' sightings make me doubt the reddit tip somewhat. If his car was really parked where they say it was, then he would have had to circle back around to get to it. And that should have put him on some of the cameras that captured him before the shooting. But LE apparently doesn't see him on any of those cameras after the shooting.

Your scenario per the Reddit "gray Nissan FLA. Tags" is plausible but then I speculated maybe Person #2 (or other) moved the vehicle say to Ives where the last known red line sighting sits alone on the Providence Police released map.

It has been discussed prior in here, and that is the lead LE needs (and all of WS'ers) is a good video of a vehicle/moped/ebike of how the POI arrived or left the area between Waterman, Ives or any other street. jmo

No, I agree. It looks to me more like the hard belly you see on middle aged men with a fair amount of visceral fat, especially around the liver. From what I have observed:

* Heavily pregnant women have a hard domed belly that involves the entire abdomen.
* Overweight middle aged men have a domed belly in the upper abdomen.
* Both sexes with advanced liver disease have a hard domed belly in the lower half of the abdomen (ascites).

Obviously this is different from the soft subcutaneous fat you see in the simply obese.

I think it could also just be a duffel or messenger bag inside the jacket.
Wearing a big belly prosthetic seems risky from a “need to get away” standpoint.

The answer could just simply be he’s wearing a bag on the inside.

As I noticed it on this second person of interest….

i'm starting to think my "v-neck pattern" is actually the two draw strings for the hood, and they just happen to be sitting crossed (or one is bouncing in front of the other) at the moment the image was captured.

That’s not necessarily true. They have footage of him going east on Waterman and then south down Ives. If he stayed south on Ives, he’d end up running into E George that he could then take over to Benevolent and up Cooke. If he hugged the north sidewalk on Benevolent and east sidewalk on Cooke, I’m not sure he’d have really been visible on camera to a great degree, especially if it was near dark or dark.

Not impossible but it looks too smooth to me to be something shoved up his jacket.

I saw it too, and at first thought it was a brand logo, but it was faint, wasn't there in other photos, and extensive googling on my part did not find it as a brand logo

I decided it was either a trick of the light with the camera or possibly part of the LE watermark (though I didn't see it again on other photos).

I also noticed that most logos are not centered but off to one side -- this makes sense as it would work for zip-up jackets too whereas a centered logo would only work for pullovers. MOO

i can't decide if i think it's real or not.

i also can't make up my mind about the black blob on his left collar bone. might just be crumpled hood and/or shadow. if it's an object, i have no idea what it would be.

I'm not entirely sure they don't have video after the shooting. I'm thinking the sun was likely starting to go down on a December afternoon and the lighting would be bad, especially given he was wearing dark attire - so any videos might not be useful in terms of garnering tips from the public. But, video still might exist that we don't know about.

Just a guess.

For anyone seeing this and thinking it's old news. They are now saying the have ID'd WHO the person is they have been saying is a POI so now they have a name and they are looking for that person. WOW! This is good news!

Police are looking into potential ties between Saturday’s shooting at Brown University and Monday’s fatal shooting of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor at his home in Brookline, Massachusetts, according to a law enforcement official close to the case.

Authorities are investigating the possibility based on information that has emerged in the last 24 hours, the official said, stressing it was not definitive.

The nature of that information was not immediately clear.

At a news conference on Tuesday, officials said there was no apparent connection between the crimes.
