RI - Wanted Sex Offender Caught Coming Out Of Child's Bedroom

  • #21
He was convicted in 1987 of the rape of a 6 year old.
That was before all of the new laws and it is highly likely that the penalties were entirely different then.
(I can't look because of my internet. But if anyone wants to look it up and provide a link, that's great.)

Also in my experience the media doesn't usually report it's a rape unless it is. It is actually a HUGE pet peeve of mine...
When they report a child was "molested" or "assaulted" and minimize it, when they were violently raped.

He failed to register as a Level 3 RSO.
That simply means that he is considered the highest risk offender and he did not register his address with them.
It also tells me it is far more likely that he DID rape a 6 year old. Because that is likely what made him a level 3. :twocents:

Thanks not enough MsF.

This was not some oopsy and I refuse to downplay what he was charged with or write this situation off as an over reaction. LE was NOT overreacting, and IMO we here are NOT overreacting.

The man was convicted of a serious serious offense and to pretend that maybe it wasn't as bad as it seems, or maybe he did nothing to these kids, it matters not IMO.

The niece used very poor judgment in allowing him to be there. period.

Tugela - do you have a link to any reports that he was probably not on parole?

Do you have a link to when he was in prison and when he was not?

Do you also have a link to what a registration violation is for a level 3 SO?

Very curious about the info you provide and would like to learn more.
