• Medical Conditions Rock was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 1994, approximately one year prior to his disappearance. He is required to take lithium and additional medications to control his condition. Rock blames himself for disturbing events and natural catastrophes, such as earthquakes and the 1995 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma bombing. He is classified as a dependent adult.
• Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian male. Brown hair, blue eyes. Rock has a small scar under his left eye. He has a thin build. Rock has a knot on his forehead. He previously fractured his right hip in three areas, including the ball and the socket. Rock also previously fractured his left jawbone. He has gaps between his teeth. Rock's nicknames are Bob and Rob.

Details of Disappearance
Rock told his father that he was going to church on May 3, 1995 in Millbrae, California. Rock said that he would return home in approximately one hour. He never arrived at the family's residence and has not been seen again.

Rock is computer literate. He was the lead singer of the band Hoodlum Empire in 1995. Rock is officially a Methodist but he often visits churches of any denomination. He is described as a casual dresser. His case remains unsolved. Texas authorities are assisting the investigation.

I am always cautious about public records but there are multiple such records for a Robert C Rock living in Belmont, with a previous address in Millbrae and a date of birth of June 1968. The sources include the usual net based name and address search sites but also the US Index to Public Records on Ancestry. These sites all cite him as moving to Belmont in 2011 and at least one site includes Carl as the second name. I would assume family and authorities would have checked such sources but it would not be the first time the obvious is overlooked.
I suspect this is a misdirection and that either similar names have been confused in records or an old address has somehow been given as a later move, but it should be checked. As I am not in the USA I will leave that to others.

The address that shows up for me is for a UPS store in a nonresidential shopping center. Not sure if there is much to be made out of that but still good find.

Wonder why Texas authorities are assisting?

Neither parent, while born in states outside of California, were not from Texas. I was wondering if it might have anything to do with the Waco Siege since the last day was exactly two years before the Oklahoma bombing.

Both parents are deceased, father died in 2009 and mother in 2012, son Robert is mentioned as having died before them. He has one younger sister. His parents went to Pacific University in Stockton, a Methodist college, same religion as Rob.

It doesn't say whether he drove or walked but assuming he walked since no mention of a car being found. Where was the closest church if that was truly where he went?

I was reading about the punk/ska band last night and found a few things on it including this brief mention in the book "Hell of a Hat: The Rise of ’90s Ska and Swing" by Kenneth Partridge.

..... Hoodlum Empire, a San Francisco group with a cool surf-ska-punk sound and seriously warped lyrics about Charles Manson and gang wars at Disneyland. According to Park, Epitaph Records was interested in signing Hoodlum Empire when tragedy stuck. Shortly after Miller left the band, lead singer Rob Rock went missing, never to be heard from again. Park had no idea Rock was suffering from mental illness (he was diagnosed with schizophrenia), and to this day, he worries that Miller's departure to join Skankin' Pickle pushed the singer over the edge.

There is also a Facebook post saying he didn't take his meds, one time jumped off a parking garage and broke his pelvis (maybe it was his hip and not his pelvis.)
