Ron and Misty Have Brushes With The Law 12/30/09

Me too, LT.

He himself said he had a 9mm Beretta. Tim saw him with an assault gun and rc said he would take out people around him if he gets bad news about Haleigh. I assume his gun collection has grown since Haleigh is gone, thanks to all the contributors to his cause. He has three cars; most are happy to have one car. Why is he so entitled? Why do people continue to stand up for him? And send him money??? How did he acquire the Altima? my guess is GMA Sykes or his mommy.

And then he gets money from back support and he is still getting child support for Haleigh. I am sure there is more income. If Haleigh was on SSD, I guess he still gets that and then there is unemployment (though I don't know how he qualifies). As long as Haleigh is alive he will collect and yes, I am assuming. To top it off, he doesn't even have to provide his own home to keep taking money from sources. He also doesn't work...

Gads...I remember at the beginning, all the supporters telling us what a hard worker this guy is..yep, works hard alright...works hard at playing the system.

I am starting to think that Ron is untouchable. Maybe he is someone connected to the police. Informant?

LE doesn't seem to want to arrest him. They let him get away with murder....
LITERALLY.

Maybe LE doesn’t want this to go to trial. Maybe they are afraid of what will come out about how they are running the Police Department. The way I feel about it is that even if they were using RC as an informant, most Police Departments have to rely on these people, how else are they going to really find out what’s going on?

All I want is justice for Haleigh. I really don’t care about what else is going on in Putnam County. Whatever their reasons, I’m sure there will be ways to handle it. If RC hurt his daughter, he needs to pay.

I am going to make a comment that is just my own opinion based on listening to the 911 calls. I believe that CJ is giving a truthful version. My reasoning behind this is that he readily admits to speeding, actually to doing double the speed limit at times. I don't see him doing that without good reason and I believe that reason to be fear.

As to the gun issue, I don't see anywhere in the report that was released where the cop stated that he searched the truck or Misti's purse or any bags. In order to do so, the cop would have had to have ask for permission and been granted permission by Ronald Cummings as the owner of the vehicle for that to have happened.

If a search of the truck had been done, I am sure that it would have been in the report to cover the cop's behind legally as well as the Sheriff''s Department because, last I knew, they either have to have the owner's permission or a warrant to do any searches for anything that isn't in plain sight.

You know oridinarily I would agree that all the other crimes going on have nothing to do with Haleigh but now I've decided that the other crimes, especially the drug traffic and the people involved in the drug trafficing who are responsible for assaults, burgulary, possession and dealing do have something to do with Haleigh disappearing. It is extremely difficult to think that all of these low lifes around this little girl did not influence, in some way the fact that she is gone. I'm sure in my heart that this low life kind of life had a lot to do with Haleigh's disappearance. The low life people involved are so low that they will not dare tell on one of their own. It totally makes me sick.

Hard to picture rc as an informant for LE, unless we consider how he would turn anyone in if he is touched. He is a hothead and not well liked therefore of not much value to LE.

I am stunned with how both r & m keep LE at bay though. They use LE for minor calls such as name-calling....this would not fly out here...can't imagine it working there either.

I keep hoping we are going to be blown away when they are arrested but I may be fooling myself.

The latest words by Greenwood though is definitely telling us they are on to something and it does not include a stranger abducting Haleigh. They are telling us that the previous days have something to do with Haleigh's demise. What do we know about the previous days. We have an idea of what misty was doing but nothing of what rc was doing with the exception he must have used a boat because LE confiscated it.

IMO, the LE officer talked to RC at his GGM's home (per report), if there were a gun it was already locked away in the cabinet, and there was no need to search the truck.

LE has repeatedly said they want to go back 30 days prior to Haleigh going missing. WHY?

Have you thought about the fact that Ron may know too much on someone of importance? I do know for a fact that this happens, it has happened here recently. The lowest of the low knew too much on someone in Law Enforcement and absolutely nothing could be done to a person who was breaking the law left and right because they knew that they would be protected. This coverup went as far as the United States Congress.

IMO, per report, the LE officer talked to RC at his GGM's home, so if there were a gun it was already locked away in the cabinet, and there was no need to search the truck.

So rc was out of his truck when LE talked to him...didn't know that.

Yep, they would need a warrant. Listen, rc is quick enough...the first thing he would do is ditch the gun (hide it). He is used to this game. Most likely the reason he called in so he would have enough time to do it and not be caught off guard.

I totally disagree, that pistol will never be found in any cabinet, ever. It is easily hidden and will remain so. It takes a very naive to think that Ron would rush home and put a pistol into the damn gun cabinet. I grew up in this environment. It just doesn't happen. LE just can't be that dumb. I refuse to believe it.

You know I've tried to give every benefit of the doubt to LE in Putnam County but no more. Their incompetence is extremely hard to ignore. I just can't do it anymore. In fact, I refuse to ignore their incompetence anymore. From now on, I call it as it is.

All this was posted on the Artice I started a thread on

http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/topstories/news-article.aspx?storyid=150139&catid=3

Greenwood said some new information has come to light about what happened in the days leading up to Haleigh's disappearance - as well as what happened the night she vanished.

However, he would not elaborate because he said he did not want to jeopardize the case.

Okay, we finally get something out of LE, as small as it is. So, something shows up in the days leading up to Haleigh's being missing. It must have something to do with Misty's lost weekend, you think? Perhaps someone has come forward with information about Ron's behavior concerning Misty's activities. Or some interaction he had with one of Misty's party peers. Is this what we have been waiting for?
As for the new information on the evening in question, is someone with inside information about the going-ons in the motorhome finally talking? But who? Just what we needed for a new year - puzzles.
I'm biting my lip right now. Grrrrr.

If it had been fired, I would agree with you, but since it had not there was no reason not to put it in the cabinet then show it to the officer as proof of where he claimed it had been all night.

This article finally gives me some hope! Let's keep our fingers crossed that they have a break in the case and there will be some answers soon!

I think it says a lot that investigators say they met with Sheffield and family to update them. They didn't meet with the Cummings . . . . hmmmm . . . .

Wow Yellow, I completely missed that. Thanks for pointing out this important crumb of a clue.

OK, I'm going to be called a dimwit from He** here but for anyone who doesn't believe in LE corruption, one example, and there are many believe me, is Buford Pusser in Tennessee. The movie "Walking Tall" was made based on his life. I know this is in the old days, but nothing has changed. I will personally send you up to date information on current corruption if you e-mail me. Corruption is alive and well, sadly. Ron isn't Teflon Ron, but I do believe he is being protected. Why? I can only speculate. If he isn't being protected, then LE is acting extremely inept and incompetent and I just can't see that many of them being this way, there has to be something keeping them from action involving this case. JMO. (but, a very strong opinon).

This is the booking photo of the Donald...vs the "J" family...again notice what PC is appropriate for bail...why would Misty be "consorting" with CJ--if we believe other published items? Could RC be aware of a relationship with CJ and MC---gotten jealous? MC is willing to bring anyone into the mix...

Again, this pistol has not ever been discussed during this case. This pistol was small enought to fit in the palm of his hand. I don't see how he could have obtained this pistol legally without anyone knowing it. I guarrantee that this particular pistol was not in that cabinet. I truly hope that some man wth cojones will come up who can put little Ron in his place. I know that there is someone out there who can do this, I just keep waiting for it to happen.

I can't get the audio to work either, but TJ posted this article with the links. I find it odd that the children were not mentioned in the report given by Misty or Ronald. Or could it be there is more to the report?

Anyone have a link that works for the 911 calls? TIA

And, once again we have a 911 call starring Misty and Ron. I love at the end when Misty, who refuses to give her name says "Well, never mind." I'm surprised the 911 operator didn't recognize Misty's voice. LOL.

I've stated many many times before and feel the need to state it again...Putnam County needs a Buford Pusser...JMO
