Crystal did file this motion.

However, Ron was the Petitioner in the original filing in the court years ago. In family law, the Petitioner stays the Petitioner in all filings throughout the entire history of the case. So, no matter what motions are brought before the court, Crystal will always be the Respondent and Ron will always be the Petitioner.

For example:

2009-07-17 066.MOTION TO WITHDRAW - KIM PICAZIO/RESPONDENT

I realize that Crystal brought forth the Motion for Counseling, but it would be the Respondent's Motion for Counseling. The docket has it labeled as Mother's motion, though.

Hope that helps.

ETA - Crystal already has a new attorney that filed an appearance on August 10th. Carol Caldwell.

2009-08-10 070.NOTICE OF APPEARANCE - CAROL CALDWELL FOR MOTHER

Thank you.

So does this mean that Ron will be contesting the emergency order for counseling for Jr ?

ATherella....please accept my humble apologies.

I thought Beardsley was a criminal attorney. Was unaware RC would need another family attorney to represent himself for something beneficial for his son....my mistake

Well, is it possible that he went to St Augustine to speak with him BEFORE he was even contacted by the LE for the Ratgate? RC is about as clever as you can get when it comes to the law

BEFORE LE found him to ask about the RAT, he and Misty were talking to an attorney? GGMA said to LE he was in St. Augustine...Beardsley's office is in St. Augustine, conincidence?

Money helps...I bet RC grateful for all the donations...Couldn't help but notice Beardsley specialized in family law.....just another coincidence, I suppose.

what donations whisperer? the 5000 he received 6 months ago? This lawyer does family law and he is Ron's atty of record for that as it says on the court records for the Jr going to counseling. He hasn't been charged with anything on the "ratgate", which is stupid to call that anyway, so why would he need a lawyer on that. I doubt there's charges anyway because there are witnesses to the fact he was home that night. You do realize, don't you, that attorneys let you pay them out? Crystal got an attorney so do you think Ron doesnt need the same kind of lawyer Crystal got? Good lord ya'll sure make mountains out of molehills.

Has he been convicted of an assault? I must have missed that.

Are you not allowed to defend yourself and your property by force if necessary in Fla??

I've asked before, was Tommy still on the property when this happened? If anyone should have called the Police, it was Tommy, if he truly believed his sister was in danger. You can believe whichever story you like, as can I.

Yes you are and by deadly force if necessary.

"It should be noted that Ronald Cummings is usually in possession of some sort of hand gun and it was mentioned that he may have been in possession of it at the current time."

As a gun owner does Ron have to keep his weapons locked up especially since he has children living with him? I wish the officer would have responded to his note and followed-up by asking Ron to hand over the gun if he found him to be in violation of any gun laws. Would Ron require a permit to own a gun? Frankly I'm surprised none of Ron's children have had a mishap with a gun if it is carelessly kept in the home and on the property.

Ron is a legal gun owner. Players said he had his CCL too so there is no reason to take his gun. How do you know he carelessly keeps his gun in his home or property?

Misty claims she never called them screaming and crying so someone is lying...the phone records can back up how many times she talked to them and who made the calls, imo. If they were concerned with her welfare in any way...why didn't THEY call 911 and have LE go check on her?

People don't show up at someone's house at that time of night after permission has been denied and aggressively go after a person without expecting a reaction, imo. This was not some casual social visit, imo. They went to GGS' home to start trouble and they succeeded, imo.

However, it will all come out in court as to what really happened prior to their arrival and if this was a set up (which I believe it was). I don't think Ronald deserved to be arrested, imo. Tommy is the one who deserved it along with everyone in the van. They should not have been on the property to begin with and instigating a fight by trying to take Misty against her will, imo.

If she called that afternoon why did they wait till 10:45 PM to go over there and start trouble?

Has there been any date set for this dispute w/ Ronald and Hank Jr. ? I have not seen a thing yet TIA...

The state hasn't decided if they are going to prosecute or drop the charges or charge the Croslins yet.

Thank you.

Hard to say at this point.

My guess (and that's all it is) is Ron and Crystal (via their attorneys) have not been able to come to an agreement as to where Junior will go to counseling or what counselor he will see. No judge in the world will deny this motion, so it would not even be worth fighting the motion itself. Therefore, I'm guessing the only thing to work out is where Junior will be treated (ie - somewhere halfway between Baker County and Putnam County so both Ron and Crystal can participate equally and travel equal distances), and both parents have equal say in picking a doctor.

RC having an attorney with regards to the counseling motion does not mean he is contesting that JR get counseling. It could have to do with what dr, the location of that dr etc as RC will be the one taking JR to the counseling sessions.

  • #651
It should be a neutral counselor that has no ties to Baker or Putnam County. I hope when Ron,Jr gets counseling the parents and step parents along with Jr. do some family counseling, also.

Good points....but it DOES mean Ron hasn't had the foresight to take JR himself and that is really concerning.

I don't know what the intentions where, was he waiting until summer visitation was over because it would of been difficult to schedule and keep appointments when he did not have JR during the week for 6 weeks? I would not think you would want to start counseling then stop for 6 weeks and then start again? I just don't think it was an issue of anyone refusing counseling or not taking care of it or it would of been addressed in the changes of custody agreement that KP took care of at the end of July.

BBM

But, Haleigh disappeared in February and the 6 week visitation didn't begin until late June or early July. That's a long time for a little guy to need help.

I am just glad he is getting counseling. I don't know if they family was advised to hold off on counseling for a bit as he was being questioned by professional connected to LE? Also summer visitation should of occurred much sooner than it did had the visitation requirements been met. I just don't think the lack of him not being placed in counseling sooner should all be placed on RC shoulders as some would like to do. Just seems like one more thing for people to bicker and point fingers over. What is important is he will now be receiving counseling.

In my experience, its quite possible that counseling did not occur to these people. That is not the first response of the general population especially those who are just day by day
trying to make ends meet. And another thing, not taking up for Ron, because he has mother and grandmother to advise, but he shows markers for mental instability himself or disabilities. jmo.

I always thought "slow" myself.

IIRC, summer visitation was delayed a few weeks. I doubt that LE would ask a parent to let their child suffer for several months in order to facilitate questioning regarding his sister's disappearance. So, IMO, the delay was due to either Ron not recognizing the need for counseling and/or Ron not agreeing to counseling if someone else recommended it. That's worriesome to me, especially the latter scenario.

  • #659
If the delay was soley RCs fault as you say Shaymus, then why did Crystal and KP not address it in the amended agreement instead she waits until she returns him from summer visitation and files a motion for counseling. So apparently she did not feel it was critical to get him in counseling ASAP either. Once again what is important is the child will be receiving counseling.

Can you even imagine the fit Crystal would have pitched if RC had set up regularly scheduled appointments for Rj in or around Satusuma for counseling sessions during her summer visitation?! She has no job, no money, and last I heard she can't drive due to the seizures yet she would be responsible for making sure that Rj was at every appointment an hour and a half away possibly twice weekly or more to start. She would have screamed and yelled about the hardship it put on her and her family. She would have been furious and said Ronald only did it for that reason. <<ALL MY OPINIONS.
