Let's see here....RC has been caught with marijuana possession, GHB (Date Rape drug) Ecstasy, methamphetamines, cocaine, heroin, illegal prescription meds, marijuana for sale and drug paraphanalia. I know I am missing some (going from memory here)

....I don't know...kinda difficult to imagine he is off all the drugs and doesn't know a user when he meets one. He maintained a candy store of them. Is it a coincidence that Misty is into drugs and RC knows nothing about it (says his attorney)? Do people here really believe that RC has no knowlege of Misty using drugs ?

Yep, Ron has been arrested for drug crimes. I have no doubt that he was and may still be a drug user. Maybe he was even a small time seller.

Why should he care about CS paying child support? He was getting it from the State because she didn't pay. That is why she was about to go to court. She was in arrears and the State was collecting.

We don't know much about his work history, but his kids looked healthy and happy. Even when he had to live with Mom and/or Granny - he did so with both his kids. It couldn't have been easy being a single dad any more than it is easy being a single mom with 2 kids at that age. He isn't well educated and has few marketable skills. Tough spot to be in for anyone and he's been doing it since he was 22 years old. And, I don't think he ramrodded through the custody issues - the Judge made the decision. And, for those who think the Judge should have looked at the criminal records or investigated the parents backgrounds, etc. etc., you may be surprised to now that that is illegal.

The Judge makes decisions based upon the evidence presented. He/She is forbidden from making their own investigation.

I don't know why it is so hard for people to believe that Ron was at work during the time between 5pm-ish (when Tommy was at the house with the kids) and 3am-ish, when he walked in the front door. Does it look like LE is circling him? No. Do you think LE is throwing out signals that Ron is not invovled to trick him into messing up? No. That doesn't happen. He would be under so much pressure from LE that he wouldn't be able to breathe without them knowing it - if they thought he was invovled.

Frankly LE doesn't know, and can't possibly know, at this point whether there was an abduction or a death. But, they are pretty darn sure they know where Ron was between 5 and 3. Coulda, shoulda, woulda aside his alibi seems to be firm enough for LE to be satisfied with his whereabouts after interviewing people that worked with him that night.

He may not be the guy you would want for a son-in-law and he has his share of issues, but he wasn't at the MH that night - he was at PDM..

Thanks for informing us that the judge does not even investigate when it comes down to the lives of children. RC appeared at the court and Crystal did not know about the court date because the paperwork was sent to the wrong address. Coincidence? NO...Rc gave the wrong address to the court.

RC was granted custody that very day. CS had no say. MO...he was granted custody by default. When CS did find out about this, she appealed and the same judge gave her no credence at all. She was young and naive...darn shame. The judge paid no attention to the affidavit that the children would be in danger living with RC either.

The Family Court System is a disgrace and they should be held accountable. MO

You can not have a court hearing with more than one party if both haven't been properly served by a court process servor. I don't know who and where it began, but that is false.

The court goes on the record at the beginning of every hearing stating both parties have been served due process properly. You can't have a hearing with two litigants and one not served about the hearing.

In order for the judge to proceed, he would have had to be satisfied Crystal was served in an acceptable manner of the hearing. You have to sign for papers concerning court, their not mailed, and or sent to a mail box. Nor are they sent certified, except from your own personal attorney who would have your correct address.

Where is the proof, if I have missed it, I apologize that a hearing was conducted without both litigants properly served? Because it breaks a law if it was done.

Why should he care about CS paying child support? He was getting it from the State because she didn't pay. That is why she was about to go to court. She was in arrears and the State was collecting.

The state does not take over payments and sends them to the parent with custody- and then bills the other parents later- if only it worked like that, but it does not-

It is also against the law to keep the minor children from the Mother when there is no DNA test of record in family court defining paternity. In the state of FL with unmarried parents with no DNA test....custody remains with the Mother. IF that statute was broken, who is to say another would not be. Past behavior is a fairly good predictor of future behavior. We have documented evidence that Ronald Cummings has no regard for the laws and statutes of the state he resides in. His rap sheet, arrest record.......on and on.

So MG was 31. CS would have been about 12 , Sarah 9, I don't know how old her brother is, so I can't say about him.

If it is so evil for Marie to have the dwelling charge and she should not have children around her...is it not equally as evil for Rc to have the same charge...should he not be limited in his contact with children....I believe in equal justice. Not sure I understand the difference here......maybe because marie is Crystal's Mom and RC is....uh considered something above consequences?

Whisperer, I'm starting to wonder if some have just been lucky/blessed enough to have not had drug users/abusers in their very close family/friend/career circles to be able to "see" what those of us that have, "see", if that makes any sense. Maybe some think that we are sterotyping Ron and Misty when nothing could be further from the truth although I can see how it may appear that way at times. For me, I just know ALL TOO WELL the signs of abuse in Ron and Misty and they are all there. moo To what extent, I have NO idea and I actually don't believe that it had anything to do with HaLeighs disappearance except that if one or the other was or had been using (which I believe to be most likely) then it would affect their state of mind and/or reactions to things. (like a child that was getting on your last nerve ) Without a drug test, LE wouldn't know unless there were extremley obvious signs, so I guess we will never know that for sure.

I'm not even going to defend Crystal nor Chad in this regard...or any other members of either family because this is so much more prevelant that many choose to believe and the odds of many of them being completely clean, (while possible) sadly are slim to none. It would depend on where they were at in their life then and now. What scares me is something like this could make anyone of them that IS an addict (once an addict, always a addict..it's just a matter of whether you are a 'practicing addict') fall off the wagon, which would only add tragedy on top of tragedy, so it's my hope that any of them with a drug problem keep a careful check on themselves and each other...

Dear God, I know you answer prayers because I have seen your power in my life. We still can't find this little girl Haleigh Lord and a lot of us are losing hope and it shows in our conversations. You said ask and you shall receive, well, today I ask nothing for myself, nothing for my family, nothing for me at all. I am asking you for a miracle. Haleigh's little brother Lord, Junior is an innocent. God you know where Haleigh is, what I don't know is what you are aiming to teach us by keeping her in the dark. Shine a light over her Lord, make her whereabouts known and bring her home to her brother Lord. I am wondering if you took her because no-one deserved her. But Lord if that is the case you forgot someone. Junior is alone and he needs his sister and her gifts and her love. You are an amazing God and I know you perform miracles each and everyday. Please Lord let Haleigh be your miracle today. If you can't send her home today Lord, well, then I just ask that you remind me that Haleigh and Junior love their Mommy and Daddy. They didn't pick them did they Lord? Maybe through Haleigh you are trying to perform a miracle in them? Whatever your reasons, may your will be done. But, Lord it's getting cold and the days are getting darker and I am hoping that it is your will to shine your light over Haleigh. This is your angel God, and you have every right to take her back, I just ask that you make it known where she is and why you took her so that her little brother Junior can carry out your will for him in his own life and in the years to come. Thank you, geez . I've been reading that statement as fact around this forum since I came back to Haleighs case. I've never responded because I wasn't up to speed. But it keeps showing up in posts so I wanted to seek the truth of the matter.

You can't have a hearing with two litigants and one not be served due process. Period. Though some including attornies will try it, it was done to Hubby and I several times over a five year custody litigation proceedings in which we prevailed everytime we were hauled in for ridiculous allegations. That's the first thing the Judge does and recognizes, even when the litigants both show up. He makes them acknowledge they were served due process of the proceedings so it can be added to the record.

I have heard of many cases where the process server is sent to a bogus address where an accomplice will be waiting to get the papers in order to prove to the court that someone was served, when in fact, they were not.

It is difficult to get a job when you have any convictions on your record. ANY, including deferred adjudication....counseling and pleading no lo. Convictions are convictions and I also believe the question on the application reads..."Have youever been arrested or convicted of a felony". One could lie, I guess.
