John Merchant may be a fine LE, I don't know, I only mention it because of the "appearance of evil". If I were him, under the circumstances I think I would excuse myself from this case so everything would be beyond reproach. His friendliness with the Cummings makes me uncomfortable on such a serious case. JMO

PG...I am becoming frustrated with the case. It is starting to remind me of the Tara Grinstead case. Small town. Girl disappears. Suspects galore. No arrest.

I just read a brief article on the LD test. It stated that LE wanted to polygraph all the people who had contact with Haleigh the few days PRIOR to her disappearance.

We have never heard who, or where these children were the three or four days prior....why not?

And WHY the days prior? What is the connection?

I can only speculate given rc's personality that he under no circumstances would spend that much time (three or four days) alone with the children...no way! Where were those kids? We can guess Sykes but do we know for sure? And if it were Sykes, did she or TN take the poly? they never said, did they? My guess is they did not. Is there any other place that the kids may have been besides Sykes. Were they left with Tommy or Timmy C? Where did rc spend those three or four days could be a clue to what happened..

Did rc travel to Fruitland Park that weekend? Or was he just driving around searching for Misty. We heard he took Misty's clothes and left them on Dianne's lawn (Nay's mom). So we know he was furious but what did he do with all that anger. And why are the LE so concerned about the days prior to her missing?

I for one am thrilled that we know absolutely nothing about this PI, private investigations are probably much more successful when those they that they are investigating has no idea who they are.

What are the legal ramifications if a PI finds out that it is indeed their client who is the person responsible for the disappearance of Haleigh? That could really play hello with that last paycheck, for sure. Is the PI required to inform LE? Somehow, I don't think so. But I hope someone educates me on this.

Please don't let this be a ploy to get money from a foundation to be sent to a new "friend" of Ron's. I do hope that there is really an ethical, professional PI who will be searching for Haleigh and who isn't afraid to come out with the truth.

Maybe I'm just oversensitive, but why would the law firm even mention the gender of the PI? Just wondering.:waitasec:

How could a PI find out anything more. rc isn't talking and misty is most likely talked out. Scam! I hope this one doesn't open a world wide search like they did in the Anthony Case. The Anthonys had to keep her alive. It tore at people's heart strings and they gave money for the search.....IMO, the entire time the Anthony knew Caylee had died.

I would like to see a list of the number of non-profits for missing children there are and how many are still existing even though the child has been located. IOW, does the fund sit there and be used as a money shelter? There is no way to audit it and it is exempt from taxes. So the owners can put money in anytime they want.

I could be wrong but it would seem that even when a child is found there are many more that haven't been. Pay it forward and make a miracle for another family.

I was referring to the private foundations, ala, like the scam the Anthonys pulled on the public.

rc does not need a foundation IMO. I consider it a scam by the attorneys. If he wants help, he can talk to the FBI., FDLE. They are pros at this. I know you won't agree. I know you believe in rc and his cause. I understand. You know where I stand regarding him. I am still reeling over the money he received by the "Today Show". He lies.

Could someone remind me what the 'vacation' was that Ron took the kids on before he refused to return them to their custodial mother and then got the custody changed? Was it to Mexico?
