I think it is time this stopped and we should come to the reality that neither Ronald nor Misty are the Devil. They are two young kids trying their best to make a go of it and unfortunately, some monster kidnapped their child for which they are being blamed. I want to find the monster while others appear to only see monsters they have created in their own minds. It is the reason this case has not moved forward and the reason Haleigh has not been found.

I think many people are missing one important point here. DCF does NOT determine who has custody, the court system does that. DCF could have taken Jr. out of RC's care and placed him into a temporary custody situation pending the outcome of a COURT decision. There is nothing preventing CS from filing to have the custody arrangement amended, and there is every possibility that she still might do this. That is her decision, not any of ours, and the court could still decide to make new arrangements based on the new situation that exists at this time.

That being said, the findings of a DCF investigation regarding current or past abuse also have NO BEARING on whether RC or MC are guilty of harming Haleigh in this instance and causing her disappearance. The DCF findings have nothing to do with the ongoing criminal investigation, and their findings have NO BEARING on whether RC and/or MC will eventually be charged with any criminal acts. Likewise, the DCF investigation did not find any evidence against CS apparently, so I assume the accusations, innuendo and unfounded hatred toward her will also come to an end.

Correct. KP got fired and DCF's findings are in his favor. This means the custody issue appears to be settled so he doesn't need them.

Nothing against you personally SS but.......I have not created anything in my mind. I just would never leave my children with a man with at least 12 drug charges and assault charges, one who sleeps with minors and a young woman who has issues with substances and risky sexual behavior. If you take issue with the fact that for me...this is totally unacceptable behavior that I will make no excuses for...that is on you. For myself, I stand by my values, morals and ethics and judgement when it comes to protecting children. I want HaLeigh found....no matter who perpetrated this crime, there are serious issues in the home of Ronald L. Cummings and I would not consign my animals to his care. JMO, MHO, and all that.

I think it's time to stop and reflect in the beginning LE was operating on limited information and since then they have obtained much more information which we don't know. This is far from over without the knowledge LE possesses. How can this stop, there's been an abduction and the home and family she was taken from has not been cleared. I thought LE were the ones to say stop.

I would recommend serving wine with that crow as some may find it difficult to swallow. It appears some prefer their meat beaten to a pulp and burned at the stake.

Well actually, the family law issues were #3 on their list, after assistance in cooperating with LE and in coordinating media access in order to use that asset in the search for Haleigh. Those two efforts are still needed to bring Haleigh home, are they not ?

The Law Office of Kimball & Snider, P.A. has agreed, after first meeting with Ronald Cummings on March 18, 2009, to represent Ronald Cummings, the father of Haleigh Cummings, on a pro bono basis. As a victim, Ronald Cummings needs and deserves legal advice and assistance in his quest for the safe return of his daughter, Haleigh Cummings.

1. The Law Office of Kimball & Snider P.A. will assist Ronald Cummings in his continuing cooperation with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and all other police agencies in their investigation into Haleigh’s disappearance.

2. The Law Office of Kimball & Snider P.A. will coordinate media attention directed to Ronald Cummings regarding his daughter’s disappearance. While publicity is a definite asset in the search for Haleigh, Ronald Cummings can not handle all the various requests for his time that the media and the public are seeking, and access will be very limited.

3. That the Law Office of Kimball & Snider P.A. will handle any other appropriate matters relating to Ronald Cummings’ best interests, including maters related to Haleigh’s biological mother Crystal Sheffield, who has recently retained legal counsel regarding a possible custody challenge involving Ronald Cummings Jr. The attorney and mother have appeared on national television to make unsubstantiated claims that Ronald Cummings sees as a “cheap shot” and publicity stunt that detracts from the search for Haleigh. The mother was previously denied custody in court and allegations of abuse against Ronald were judicially dismissed.

Just bumping Shaymus' post for those that may have forgotten what Kimball & Snyder's intent was in representing RC. Looks like they decided they did not want him as a client for numbers 1 & 2.

Once again, the DCF findings simply mean that they (DCF) have decided not to use their authority to remove Jr. from RC's custody. There is absolutely nothing in the world that prevents CS from hiring any attorney of her choice and seeking an amendment to the current custody situation. It is within her parental rights and IMO her OBLIGATION to do so at any point in time that she feels that new arrangements need to be made. Also, the DCF findings were in no way "in his favor", they are simply neutral findings and settle nothing at all in terms of which parent can provide a better or safer home for this child. NOTHING is "settled", all this means is that DCF has punted the ball and someone else needs to catch it and run with it, so to speak.

Actually, I prefer my meat barely warm, however, that's beef. For the crow I believe 4 and 20 blackbirds baked in a nice tender-crusted pie would be good. But, on a more serious note, I also believe most of us will be surprised when/if the truth does comes out. With so few facts none of us have a firm grasp on what really went down. So, devil take the hindermost, I just want the truth to come out and Haleigh found - preferably ALIVE.

LE botched this case from the beginning and turned a blind eye to the truth, IMO. They cannot build a case with no evidence against anyone when the pieces do not fit what they have created as the monsters. They are the ones who refuse to clear anyone except the AC man.

They know for a fact that the entire population of Satsuma did not kidnap this child. They need to publically clear the people they cannot pin this crime on because they have nothing pointing to them and get to work on finding the real perp. This family has been through enough.

LE has done the family and Haleigh a horrible injustice and has allowed this to go on for almost 6 months. Something needs to be done to clear this family. I don't think LE has a single thing to indicate this was done by anyone inside that home. You cannot fit a square block into a round hole no matter how much you allow the public to beat it down.

Crystal can try it in court, but the DCF report supports Ronald and Misty. I don't think Crystal has a case.

Yes, the decision was in Ronald's favor when they found no abuse in the home after such wild accusations were made by the mother and others (which will also come up in court). There is nothing neutral about it. It is settled.

BBM Problem is, I don't believe they have ANY evidence, one way or another, on ANYONE. Therefore, everyone remains under the umbrella of possible/implied guilt, public scrutiny, whatever anyone wants to fling at them. LE either threw out their own case when the bedding hit ramp, or there is a reason why they don't appear to be moving forward. I hope and pray the reason is a good one. . .

So I can take it you do know all the evidence they have, would you mind posting the cell pings so we can all be so well informed?

BTW: There is no statute of limitations at this point. If you don't mind, I'll let LE do the speaking for who's been cleared and not rely on public pleas to just make it go away.

There is no need for her to have money to hire an attorney, a simple $1 retainer will be enough for any number of experienced and skilled attorneys to take her case. The DCF report in no way SUPPORTS one parent over another, that is a ludicrous assumption. There most definitely is a case for a mother to re-file for custody after the father has LOST or even worse personally HARMED a child, and our family court system will take that issue quite seriously! This issue is NOT SETTLED by any means, no matter what my personal opinion is, or the bias of any other uninvolved observer.

The issue will be settled in court one way or another, whether it is done through a criminal court first or by filing a civil suit for custody is yet to be decided. LE should never be so unjustly criticized on the basis of NO INFORMATION. They are not obligated to provide us with the voluminous amounts of evidence that they have accumulated, there is a reason to gather and hold that information---to PROSECUTE the guilty parties and make sure they are punished for what has been done to this innocent child. I only pray that those persons will have some decency or humanity and admit to where they have put her and what they have done.
