Me being happy has nothing to do with being a Ron believer. I doubted abuse because the stories changed, and because of the bogus pics claiming abuse, yet I was prepared to hear that there was abuse going on, because as many have stated abuse is not always obvious to outsiders.

I am relieved because the last thing I wanted to hear was Haleigh and JR are being abused. If the investigation of abuse was against Crystal and it came back no abuse found I would be just as happy and relieved. I am praying that the focus can now go back to Haleigh that maybe all the drama and outside player interference will stop.

Know what? I am going to give all the RC believers their time to be happy. The least I should do. I rushed in too quickly when I heard the news. I let my feelings about the determination push me to post.

However, I am really interested in Flossie's word "coincidence", since I seen it posted before....if it is related to RC...since this is his thread.

Parenting classes for parents of a 4 year old who's big sister disappeared in the middle of the night seems appropiate. I know I wouldn't know what to do to help him.

Please remember the source for the information that no abuse was found was Ron's attorney. We have not, and I understand will not, hear from DCF.

The parenting classes have a set curriculum (sp?). They aren't designed to help Jr deal with happened to his sister. I don't know if counseling has been offered. I sure hope so, as I agree with you that Jr has had an awful trauma.

I see there is elation and some people who truly believe RC is a great father and has done a fantastic job raising the children with love...and now the DCF report will be used to reaffirm their convictions.

If given the opportunity, would anyone of the advocates leave their children with Ron and Misty to babysit?

Yes! I would welcome them with open arms to watch my kids. I would not have any problem with trusting them to be kind, loving, and to take good care of them.

There is no perfect parent out there. All he has done and all he can do is to try and provide love, a home, and work to raise his children.

I personally didnt need his lawyer to say anything Jr still with his Dad says it all to me. If DCF believed there was abuse Jr would of been taken from Ron by now.I just hope that Jr and everyone that needs it is getting help coping.Not knowing has to be heart breaking.

According to John Harrell, a spokesman for DCF's northeast region, the investigation was closed a few weeks ago with no indicators of abuse. He said the couple were strongly encouraged to attend parenting classes, "to cover issues like age-appropriate supervision and other topics."

I didn't think there was any doubt where I stood in this case?! Hmmmm...I thought I made myself very clear day after day. I do not believe they had anything to do with Haleigh's disappearance.

Why wouldn't I allow them to watch my child? Because someone came in the middle of the night and abducted their child? I would let Ed Smart and his wife watch my children! If Marc Klaas was free to babysit...I would call him as well!

It is a fact that RC is/was residing with Grandma Sykes at the time of the investigation. DCF usually does an in depth tour of the living arrangements.

With DCF investigating and with PAST history of drug use they would and do random drug tests and fully investigate living conditions and make sure there is no illegal activity going on in the home.

Well I feel very strongly they did have something to do with the disappearance of Haleigh.I feel MC is the key.I am very glad they are going to parenting classes.I feel they do need it.They are going for a reason.I hope every one will get back to really looking for Haleigh.But everything needs to be looked at to find her and everyone.I know some things should be left for the police to look into.

All this is very fine news for both Jr and Haleigh! To me this means:

"...the DCF investigation had been closed with no evidence of abuse." means that it was not found that the children had suffered abuse by their father (and I think we can assume Misty). This implies well-treated children.

"Cummings will retain custody of his son Ronald Cummings Jr." means status quo and continuity will be maintained for Jr and we hope soon, Haleigh.

"...the couple were strongly encouraged to attend parenting classes, "to cover issues like age-appropriate supervision and other topics." Other topics could include guidence on how to help children through traumatic times - certainly good for Jr now and eventually, Haleigh.

Most importantly, a serious distraction to the success of this case certainly should now be put to rest. Hopefully, this may quell some of the vicious attacks directed at certain members of this family, which must have made it terribly difficult to function on top of all their other pain. Anything which assists of getting the focus back to locating little Haleigh is a huge positive step.

Exactly. DCF did not "order" Ron and Misty to take a parenting class - Ron and Misty agreed to take one.

I guess we both were wrong about DCF publically releasing information regarding an investigation.

Sorry i disagree, Ronald knows..... that's his baby, he knows what happened. it's gonna come out, guilt is a hard thing to live with! I do not believe Haleigh was kidnapped... to much time as gone by with no news.

BBM I agree wholeheartedly, and believe that Ronald knows. And I don't believe there was any kidnapping either, but don't count on him feeling too much guilt, his EGO won't allow it.
One thing we can count on though his EGO has now kicked into overdrive to sabotage its ownself.. Gotta love that innate function of the EGO....JMO

Oh ok so the teachers the doctors the le all them lied to protect ron? I don't see where you are going but this is your opinion and i respect that.

I KNOW for a FACT that some teachers do LIE. I worked for a school as secretary to 2 department heads.
