I am unaware that LE requested Ron not speak with reporters, if this was in a press release I'd really appreciate a link! Seems more like a lawyer's advice, but jmo.

Well, you know...someone needs to draw the line when LE has already said he was at work during the time they say Haleigh went missing and they have also stated not only do they have the cell phone pings, but can back those up with people on the job site who saw him there. It means he could not have possibly murdered/vanished his daughter since he was verfied by LE and PDM employees plus cell phone records to be AT WORK!!! IT is TIME to clear him!!!
LE wouldn't clear their own mothers in this case (as a matter of fact...they haven't!)!! he world is a suspect in thTeir words except for ONE AC MAN. Now how stupid does that sound?!

LE has never stated he was at work during the time Haleigh went missing.. LE doesn't know what time Haleigh went missing or what crime has been committed...

Seriously-- you have clearly missed your calling! You would make an excellent LEO, this must be especially frustrating for you.

Imo, LE has a great deal of factual information that is worthy of going back to square one with. Minus the tangents and immediacy of Haleigh's disappearance, they are bound to discover more about the events surrounding that night.

It would be negligent not to, imo.

Oh, thanks Whisperer-- that makes sense to me. I thought I recalled they were helping with "media" surrounding Haleigh's investigation, but it's been a while since I read there.

Yes, they have. Busy posted it this afternoon. It has also been posted many, many other times. Their timeline is from 7:00pm - 3:00am. Ron was at work as verified by LE, his cell phone pings, and employees on the job site.

The crime committed is an abduction. Haleigh is gone.

I have my own opinion/idea what happened here, but it's just that--there haven't been enough facts released by LE for me to draw any solid conclusion.The thing I don't understand is WHY HASN'T LE ARRESTED SOMEONE if some of what's being talked about here is true? If, for instance, RC's shift/whereabouts can't be verified or MC's inconsistent statements cast suspicion.....surely there has to be a shred of evidence that someone could be brought in under some kind of charge, don't you think? I honestly think that if LE thought that RC or MC was responsible that they'd have at least found a lesser charge to arrest them on (like child endangerment, jaywalking....SOMETHING!) to put the heat on and get somebody to talk. I just don't understand why LE wouldn't have arrested SOMEBODY by now. ..makes me glad that Casey Anthony was stupid enough to forge checks on camera.

You make a really good point, if even 1/4 of the stuff that is being said about RC and Misty was true, they would of already been charged with something. I really wish the rumors would of never started on this case, I think people would be working together instead where it stands now.

I am very frustrated.

The task force doesn't excite me anymore since they did not have another meeting in 30 days. I don't know how much real factual information they have to work with since PCSO didn't bother to forensically test much of the material gathered. They do have some witness statements and those 4,000 supposed tips to go through (which 3,997 will probably turn out to be crap which should never have been called in) and to weed out. I hope they can turn up something, but with the poor job done in the initial stages of this investigation...it is going to be a very slim chance of it happening, imo.

There is no statement from RC about staying out of the media by request of LE because they honored that request. There is one from Marie however, unless you want to believe they just told the Sheffield family that.

The family has also been advised by law enforcement to keep a low profile, in hopes that someone involved with the disappearance may slip up and talk about it.

“They figure maybe if it dies down, whoever did this will take more of a free reign, mingling and talking. They know that’s what it’s going to take to bust this case — somebody saying something,” explained Ms. Griffis.

Despite that direction, she wants to keep Haleigh’s story in public view.

“I would rather have the media keep it out there because I don’t know where Haleigh is,” Ms. Griffis said. “We’re hoping and praying to God she’s still alive, but we don’t know one way or another. If she’s been moved out of state, they need to get her story out there.

Huh? I thought that the 7pm-3am timeline were the hours that LE identified as inconsistent. To me, that means that they have questions that are still unanswered.

Imo, Ron's whereabouts are not unknown to them, and that doesn't necessarily mean Ron was where he professed to be-- only that LE knows better. jmo

Actually, it wasn't his attorneys that asked him not to speak to the press.

IIRC, Marie stated in a Baker County Press article that LE asked them all to "lay low" or something along those lines as far as the media went. I believe the reasoning was hoping the perp would "mess up".

To me, that is ridiculous. The more coverage HaLeigh gets the better. Her face and name need to be in the media everyday! Far and wide on a national level. I don't feel like HaLeigh is in Satsuma. Therefore, the more coverage she gets, the better. JMO.

i imagine parents of a missing child would jump at that offer
