If you are going to look at one...you have to look at both sides. Now...out of that mess...where are you going to narrow it down? Who has motive? The list is endless if you go buy rap sheets.

If you start with the inner circle...the one with the most motive and benefit here would be the Bio mom. Ronald doesn't have a motive to take his child that I can see yet. Misty could have a motive and was the last person to be seen with Haleigh which does put her in the other column.

~bolded by always~

Why leave JR?

What do think Misty's motive could be?

It would be better if we just look at the past six months, that way it could give a clearer of what is happening with them all now. Were any of the charges in the last six months or year?

The child who lives with CS isn't missing, the child RC had complete custody and control of is.

Yes, it really is a shame that Bio mom (1) didn't show up prepared for court (i.e., bring her witnesses, one of which was her own father), (2) chose NOT to take her daughter to 12 drs. appts, and Jrs. 1 dr. appt, forcing the judge to take that into consideration in deciding custody (3) didn't use the three years since the custody hearing to mount a campaign to get her children back and (4) get a job instead of spending time on her myspace talking about her wonderful baby and the "other brats".

Note: these are all facts.

Did Ron know Misty's brothers and that's how he met Misty, and they moved into trailer park to be close to them?

Misty could have had a motive? Why would she want the child taken away?

I feel sorry for Ronald. I see him as a man who is trying so hard to work towards bringing Haleigh home in spite of the carp his ex and camp are throwing at him. No one seems to be defending him in the national media when they are trashing him. At this point, I have little sympathy for Bio mom or family because of their own actions.

The things I have brought out about Bio mom and her family are either documented or stated by them in the media. The things they have said about Ronald are neither proven nor documented that I can tell, but people want to jump on those statements as being true.

Did you read the quotes to Amber about her jealousy?Remember that Haleigh is Ronald's heart? Not saying she did something, but could explain why she would leave them in a trailer alone while she was partying. Not having the love of a mother, but the mind of a big sister that parties.

Ron reminds me SO much of my stepson! He has a very hot temper also .... and is very controlling, I see ALLOT of him in Ron, in his eyes, his facial expressions, his body language and his words.

And: why did Misty say 'your back door'? That just sounds strange, when you're living with somebody. I would think it would be 'the back door'.

Her mother was charged with running a drug house?Dang,I thought when they were talking about charges with her,it was like bad traffic tickets or something.WTH When was this charge?
Someone found it the other day and I will have to find the link.

And she also said to him, your daughter, when he pulled up.

Motive as in the way of accidental death, hurting her in a fit of rage, or such. Not that it would benefit her, but to cover up some other action perhaps.

Absolutely agree...

I was posting that in response to the reason why RC got custody of the kids is because he had the means to support them (job) and Health Insurance would be available in the future. The judge could've given the custody to CS and order RC to pay child support and supply health insurance. IMO there was a reason the Judge didn't do this.

FYI I DO NOT think that CS had anything to do with this.

I totally agree with you, Littleone48...the judge had good reason to award custody to Ron - first and foremost, he had a job, he showed up for Court, and he had a place for them to live. Crystal appears to have had none of that, but I am wondering why she was not required to pay child support to Ron as the non-custodial parent. And all these years later, she has never tried to get her kids back by getting a job and her own place. Granted that makes her guilty of nothing more than bad parenting, but still...
I continue to believe this was a stranger abduction - no one in the family would have brought the media attention and LE to bear on the total dysfunctionality of this bunch!

So you're saying none of this important, yet go on to bring up bio-mom and family?? You're beating the horse yourself....

Respectfully, I think Seriously Searching was itemizing the plethora of prior run-ins with the law that helped form her opinion on BioMom and her family...and pointing out that even with those supporting facts, others disagree.

SS thank you for all your research and insight into this case, you are an invaluable tool here lol (if I may deem you a tool!)

That's exactly some of my thoughts.Dang you all are so fast,I have to edit.I think Misty is the foundation, whether it's accidental, her leaving or something to that effect.

When this case first came up, it seemed so easy. I think most of us thought it would be quickly resolved. Who knew?!
And today, at two weeks and with the three o'clock hour approaching and no press conference that I am aware of, I find myself wondering if it will ever be solved.

:other_beatingA_Dead We can beat the horse until it is dust, but we can't provide anything to link it to Haleigh's disappearance. The same thing applies to Ronald's, Crystal's, her parents', or their significant others' past histories.

None of them have pretty rap sheets which makes them all look like horrible people! Crystal was charged with filing false reports to LE before which legally makes her known to have lied to police (goes directly to her credibility now). Her father was responsible for maintaining the vicious business of animal fighting plus various charges of Assaults (one with a deadly weapon) and Battery. Her mother was charged with running a drug house. Her current bf was charged with cocaine possession. The list goes on and on and on...

ITA wholeheartedly. Hey, do you recall something being posted about the nearby water...something about, at most, it would take 3 weeks to wash up on shore (or mud or sand, whatever, at land, I should say)?

TIA, I am a citygirl with noooo knowledge of water whatsoever, despite Lake Michigan's proximity. So please excuse any mistakes.

Even if neither parent had past charges, I would look at the non-custodial parent first. Seems to me it's just common sense since it appears to be an abduction.
